Everything was lovely! The space is so cute with amazing views and it is wonderfully quiet. It is a very clean space with lots of thoughtful touches. Host was very responsive and friendly. We would highly recommend this space to others.

Thank you, I loved hosting your stay; your appreciation means so much!
Absolutely amazing stay. Property looked as it did in the pictures. I arrived to a handmade welcome card (which I'm so sad I forgot it!) and muffins. Such a welcoming environment with beautiful views. The studio suite has a claw foot tub which was a phenomenal experience. The island itself has wonderful views and so many fun things to do. I definitely recommend staying here and I would most definitely stay at Joy's studio again
The VRBO was just what I needed for a month of rest and relaxation on Whidbey island. I would not hesitate to stay there again! The bed was comfortable and the view was spectacular. A great place to have a glass of wine at the end of the day and a view of Useless Bay and the Olympic mountains!
Great use of small space, beautiful view from deck, well equipped and comfortable. Walking distance down private trail to beautiful beach. Easy driving distance to Langley and other spots. Glad we found it.
It was the perfect place for the 2 of us (my wife and me) to relax and recharge at the end of each day. The studio had everything we needed to be comfortable. There's a cool/ interesting path down to the beach... maybe a 5 min walk. We don't usually see our hosts when we travel, but in this occasion, we did. Joy is an absolute delight to talk to. She was such a great host(ess). ;)
Wonderful view from this cozy studio in larger home with other rental units. Nice neighborhood with beach access. Joy, the owner, made us feel welcome. The studio had everything we needed for a long weekend getaway.

To clarify, the Studio is a guest house, a separate building from the main house.
My wife and loved our stay at the Sunlight SeaScape. Its in a great location on the lower half of the island. Stores and other necessities are only minutes away. It was so peaceful and has stunning views of the bay.
Joy was a wonderful host, she left treats, juice and cream for us in the fridge, we will book with Joy again in the future.
Tiny studio but great and affordable for our stay.
A small affordable studio. Nice every way. Great view and location. I cannot fully recommend the High claw foot tub shower for seniors. We are mobile enough to make it, but it was not easy. Otherwise a good bargain.
The view was amazing. The studio was perfect. It was comfortable and the host Joy was wonderful. We will be back. It was exactly what we needed to rejuvenate.
My family had a wonderful time at Sunlight Seascape in the Studio unit. Small mini complex on the South Side of Whidbey Island. We had all necessities at our disposal with the kitchenette. Joy was a wonderful host and left a personalized note and treats upon arrival. Would stay again!

Wonderful guests, so appreciative! and who were impeccable in every detail.
Thank you!
The view you see in the VRBO picture is beautifully accurate! I was working on Whidbey Island and thrilled that I selected Le Studio at Sunlight SeaScape for my accommodations to rest and recharge between appointments. Bed was comfortable and little kitchen was perfect. On a more practical note, the grocery store, "The Goose" is just a few minutes down the road and you have multiple public beaches you can access for some toes in the sand time. You won't regret your decision to stay in the studio, or one of Joy's larger accommodations, if you need more space. Thank you, Joy, for providing such a lovely little space to stay over. I hope to be back soon!

About the host
Hosted by Joy Abbey-Adams
I am a retired high school level French teacher, loving travel and the beauty of the gardens and architecture of Europe.
The creation of Sunlight Seascape has been my passion and joy! As a child, I spent free, endless summer days on this beach, bay, and pasture learning how to swim, dig clams, build forts, and ride horses.
Capturing the natural beauty of the sea, land, and spacious sky was my inspiration in Sunlight SeaScape’s design and construction.
Building began on the property while I was teaching advanced French classes. The passions of nature, freedom, and culture blended together in the creation of this beautiful place.
Why they chose this property
I love this Useless Bay, Sunlight Beach and surrounding pastures and mountain views. I love sharing this property and safe, friendly and stunningly beautiful Whidbey Island with my guests who also appreciate its beauty and precious resources for access to Nature.
I began designing beautiful gardens and simple, exquisite interior spaces to connect with their natural settings. This property inspires me each morning as I breathe the clean, fresh air and experience the abundant beauty of mountains, sky, ocean and activity on the beach. Pastures and forests are our land constant while dragonflies and hummingbirds soar. Sometimes a baby otter will bob its head in Useless Bay as ships pass in the straits. Sunsets in the big sky complete amazing days in all seasons. As I grew up and become a nature lover, I will always love sharing Sunlight SeaScape on Whidbey, the beautiful Northwest getaway I get to call home.
What makes this property unique
Come spend Island Time at this beautiful, unique property, Sunlight SeaScape, where you have an opportunity to reconnect with Nature's Beauty – Northwest style. Take a step back to a quieter time.
Clean, safe, friendly, unique and beautiful property and accommodations. Clean air, clean water, birds, bunnies and walks on the beach, pastures, country roads where deer greet you with an ear flick.
We are a few miles from the charming seaside town of Langley and Bayview Corner where you can shop the Farmers' Markets and local wineries, artists' galleries and unique shops.
This special area of Whidbey Island captures a gentle, authentic, retro spirit where the Earth Sanctuary, Whidbey Institute stewards the land and sea. Hike or bike beaches and forests for active relaxation.
Experience the cultural aspects of island life, including theatre, farms, music and more art, in all forms, all year.
