Park Cottage - A very private and scenic holiday home.

Park Cottage is a traditional Skye crofthouse built in the 1890s and was completely renovated throughout in 2017. Graded 4 star by VisitScotland, STL licence HI-30039-F and a 'C' Energy Performance Rating (EPC), it sits at the end of the Park Bernisdale crofting township, 9 miles from Portree in a very private, peaceful and beautiful location with absolutely no passing traffic whatsoever. The open plan sitting/dining room is furnished in a very homely style including a log burner with some logs provided. The downstairs bedroom has a king size bed with an en-suite, including a big shower. There is a second shower room downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs (a single and a double) that have coombed ceilings to the sides and are well appointed but much smaller. The well equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher and a washing machine with tabs for both included. Along with many other items including washing up liquid, dish towels, etc, etc. Park Cottage is in a great location for visiting north and central Skye with a minimum stay of 3 nights and arrival can be on any day of the week. It can accommodate a maximum of 4 people comfortably (including children of 8 and over).
Park Cottage has an EV charger exclusively for guest use. Charged separately at 35p/unit (Kwh). More detail sent nearer time of stay or on request anytime.

Just perfect

A friend and I wanted to "get away from it all" stayed at this property, and it COMPLETELY delivered. Our neighbours were birds and adorable ewes and lambs, but there are a few other homes in easy walking distance. Amazing view over the Snizort. House was perfection - large shower, comfortable beds, easy to use appliances that worked perfectly. Great, easy to use fire with wood and kindling supplied. Easy drive to attractions such as Dunvegan Castle and Fairy Glen. Lovely outside bit with a picnic table was perfect for leisurely coffee mornings. I can't recommend Park Cottage enough, I am trying to figure out when next to come back! Thanks so much for a great stay!

Beautiful cottage in a fantastic location

The cottage was exactly as the listing described. Very clean with all the amenities that you would need, great kitchen with everything in it. The views were stunning, I enjoyed taking my first coffee of the day out into the garden and looking over the lock. One night it got a little chilly so the log fire was very handy. The cottage was easy to get to and the communication with the owner was also very pleasant and good.

Park Cottage is a lovely comfortable and clean cottage with all the amenities required. The view from the cottage is stunning and Skye blessed us with gorgeous blue skies.

Het huis was echt gezellig en had alles wat we nodig hadden en zelfs meer (houtkacheltje en Netflix). Geweldige douche, alleen oppassen met het warm water (te lang douchen is geen optie want dan heeft de laatste geen warm water meer) De locatie is fantastisch, het uitzicht super. De ligging is ook goed om de het meeste van Skye te bezoeken. Een aanrader voor iedereen.

Absolutely Wonderful

Park Cottage is fantastic. It is in a beautiful location; windows on every side give you a new and ever changing view. The house itself was very clean, well maintained, very well insulated and comfortable. The owners have thought very carefully about the layout and the standard of facilities and we found it to be the perfect place to stay. From the cottage we could see eagles soaring over the mountains and it made an ideal place to explore the island from. Communication was great from the owners and we were sad to leave.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Park Cottage and Margaret and David were gracious hosts. The house had everything needed to cook meals, was clean, warm and comfortable, maintaining the ethos of the historical Croft house. The view from the front was beautiful with lovely sunrises a reward for an early rise and the peace and quiet was manna for the soul. Location is excellent for touring the north of Skye which, on my opinion, is the most beautiful part of the island.

Lovely cottage & great base to explore Skye

We had a great week here - it's a really nice cottage cottage (spotlessly clean throughout, well equipped and very comfortable); makes it very easy for you to relax. Meanwhile, Margaret was a terrific host. Whilst we didn't meet in person, she was in friendly and helpful contact in advance, on arrival and again on leaving, always offering to help should be have any questions etc. Lastly, the location is terrific to explore Skye. I'd been a few times before - lured by the exciting walking/scrambling of the Black Cuillin - but it was the first time for my partner. The location is tranquil and a few miles off the main N-S route, so a great retreat in the evenings coupled with easy access to all parts of the island. ..And the loch gave us views of an otter, harbour porpoises and herons! Our thanks to Margaret for a great week - we'd love to return!

A lovely place to stay in a great location for exploring the northern parts of the Isle of Skye. I would recommend this property to anybody who is looking for a relaxing break away from all the current madness.

Excellent week. Very comfortable accommodation with everything we could need. The view over the loch is wonderful and ever changing, there was even a pod of dolphins to watch one evening.

Just what we hoped for

This cottage is an ideal, peaceful location, yet within an easy drive of many of Skye's beautiful walks.The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable, cosy stay. Margaret the owner was very good at communicating, and everything went smoothly. We would love to go back again before too long.

A perfect place to switch off from the to-ing and fro-ing of modern life. We sat outside on the bench one clear night enjoying the stillness and silence and the wonderful view of the night sky. The house itself is lovely - really cosy, smartly appointed and plenty of room too. Highly recommended.

Great location

This property was located perfectly for everything we wanted to do. It was central so we could get easy access to portrait, but it still allowed us to go all directions in the aisle of sky. It was very quiet and very much country setting but still within 10 minutes of town.

Park cottage is absolutely stunning. It is the most amazing cottage the views are stunning and the cottage itself has amazing amenities. There is a small fire place in the living room and the kitchen is beautiful
