Castellamonte is known for working with ceramics and ceramic stoves, famous reproductions of eighteenth-century models, some of which are part of the furnishings of the houses of the Savoy family: in the Castello Ducale of Agliè there are some original ones. From the end of 2014 in the town of Frassinetto, just over half an hour from Alpette, the Arcansel was inaugurated: the flight of the rainbow. It is a spectacular open-air structure where you can experience the thrill of flying hanging from a metal cable with a special pulley and harness. The maximum difference in height between the rope and the ground is about 400 m while the difference in height between the mountain (start) and the valley (arrival) is about 260 m. The flight lasts on average 70 seconds with a maximum speed of about 140 km / h. The flight does not require any particular skill except the need to relax and enjoy the flight in complete safety and tranquility.
