Why Bonnie and Kevin Tillison chose Marquette
Our property has so much to offer being in the middle of everything that Marquette has to offer. Only minutes from so many exciting events that our area has to offer. The Ore to Shore bike race, Fourth of July on our lower harbor festival, Blueberry fest, Art on the Rocks, and so much more. You can jump on your bike right out the back door and ride right into downtown Marquette. Stop at the local farmers market, shop our historic downtown shops and restaurants. Maybe enjoy relaxing at Mattson Park where many of our festivals and events are held or continue on to ride along our scenic lake shore line and continue to ride around Presque Isle park. or pack a lunch and sit on one of our many beaches and picnic areas.

We enjoyed everything about our stay at this house. It has everything you need and plenty of space. I was a little concerned with the location when we first pulled up. It is right on the highway and the road noise is so loud in the front yard that I could barely hear anyone talk but the backyard space more than made up for it. The backyard is beautiful. We used the fire pit and jumped right on the Heritage trail from the yard. The hosts were wonderful!
stones throw away from the iron ore biking/walking/running trail! the beds are so comfortable and the air conditioning was nice to keep the kids comfortable at night. just outside of Marquette too and nice to have the grocery and big box stores close for things we forgot. lots of restaurants too. super clean - hot showers - and a great backyard for games and bonfire. the owners are great to work with and talk to. very caring and considerate!
Great Stay; Close to the Action
The house is right on US-41 just minutes from downtown Marquette. The highway can get a little busy at times, but the backyard is large and backs right up to the Iron Ore Heritage Trail. Plenty of parking, and even garage space to hold kayaks and other gear. The house was clean and comfortable, a great place to relax. The homeowners were so easy to work with and very accommodating for our later-than-anticipated check-in. Overall, it was a great stay!
Great for a large group.
Worked great for our group! Close to shopping areas as well as downtown Marquette. Loved the large dining room for meals as well as conversation.
Our best VRBO stay ever!!
Heritage Haus was massive with numerous locations for our extended family to hang out. The bed rooms were also spacious and located on both ends of the house. This allowed those who chose to stay up later not to bother those who went to bed earlier. The kitchen was also large and extremely well stocked. Lots and lots of towels, etc., for bathing. I spent a lot of time on the very large deck with only a few bugs between 6 and 7pm. They even have a very nice fire pit in the back yard where adults and children alike enjoyed S'Mores. Can't say enough about how nice the owners, Kevin and Bonnie were to us. We were greeted upon arrival and given a complete tour. We are definitely booking it again for next year!!
Great people, beautiful home
Bonnie and Kevin could be the true embodiment of hospitality, upon our arrival they were eager to show us the home and all it has to offer. They were available at any time for any issues we may have (which we did not) and made us feel truly welcome. The house itself is beautiful, with its massive back yard and being located only a 10-minute drive from downtown we really could not have asked for better accommodations.
We are located 2 1/2 miles W of Marquette (it does not show the correct location on the map). We are on US 41 and 1 minute down the road from shopping, gas stations and restaurants. The house is located on 5 acres, it is a private, wooded country setting. You will enjoy 2000 sq ft of indoor living with plenty of relaxing outdoor space for grilling, dining and playing.
We are in the middle of many of the areas attractions in the central UP. The Heritage Haus is on the Iron Ore Heritage Trail ( ironoreheritage.com ), walk out the back door to enjoy a 47 mile trail for biking, hiking and snowmobiling. It will take you to the beaches, Lake Superior lake shore, gas stations and restaurants.
There is plenty of on site parking for your recreational vehicles.
