Kitchen: Electric Cooker, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Washing Machine

First Floor:

Bedroom: Double (4ft 6in) Bed

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity and bed linen included. Initial fuel for wood burner included. Garden with patio area and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: No children.. Set within an acre of grounds in the Golden Valley with open views over the countryside, this lovely south-facing former miner’s cottage is of a very good standard and offers a peaceful holiday retreat. An ideal base for exploring the surrounding area, only 5 miles from the World Heritage city of Bath. Visit the cathedral city of Wells, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury, Stonehenge, Longleat House and Safari Park. NT properties nearby include Stourhead House and Gardens, Montacute House, Dyrham Park. Golf and fishing can be found nearby. Shops and pubs 1 mile.



Towels are not included.

lovely cottage, tucked away from the farmhouse it felt secluded. the cottage had everything a couple could need (although no WiFi and scarce mobile coverage) and we were lucky enough to see some of the local wildlife. well presented and in good order.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. Although it only sleeps two it was surprisingly spacious. The weather was excellent so we timed it right! The cottage is in a quiet area but handy for Bath and local places of interest. There are lovely walks from the cottage in the surrounding countryside too. There are a few pubs nearby, we visited the pub in Upton Cheney which does nice food. There is a pub in Bitton and one further up the road towards Bath (Swan Inn). We visited Bath, Wells, Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge. We found that everything was within an hours’ drive and found it to be an excellent base to visit Somerset. We would stay here again as there are lots of places we didn’t managed to get too.

The cottage was outstanding.

The cottage was outstanding. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and fully equipped. The bed was very comfortable. Wonderfully peaceful location with a true nature lovers garden, squirrels, bunnies, a woodpecker and a hawk. It was central to all the places we wanted to visit. Great place to stay :)
