Seahouses is fabulous and a great base for exploring the Northumbrian coast.
Seahouses is fabulous and a great base for exploring the Northumbrian coast. Great food and atmosphere at The Olde Ship Inn and also down the road at The Ship at Low Newton by the Sea.The Coracle was small but cosy. Very comfortable beds and all the basics you could need. The log burner was a welcome boost to the electric heating. Heaters in the bedrooms worked very well but made a little noise. Shower room was small but functional, however some attention is needed to the flooring outside the bathroom as one board was damp. We very much enjoyed our stay. Location was great.

Enjoyed our stay at The Coracle.
Enjoyed our stay at The Coracle. excellent location for the harbour, shops and pubs. although there was no parking outside the cottage we found we could park in the street opposite which was not a problem during our stay. We enjoyed sitting on the bench's overlooking the harbour next to the cottage watching the Farne Island boats coming and going every morning before venturing out to go up the village etc. We would book again no problem.

The cottage was comfortable and on the whole clean.
The cottage was comfortable and on the whole clean. The kitchen was well resourced with utensils and equipment. The gift box was loaded full of tea, coffee, biscuits, sugar with milk in the frdge. Tea towels and washing up liquid were supplied. Never having used a log burner before I did find it a little tricky to keep going, but there was central heating. Although the heater in the main bedroom did make a strange noise. There were a few small things needing attention but I would say we are at the end of the season and these things would be attended to before the start of the season next year. Parking is an issue as ever other cottage has a space reserved outside their building but not the Coracle and everywhere around has double yellow Iines so having someone with mobility issues we had to drop them at the cottage then go find somewhere to park, usually we could get parked on the other side of the venel. The TV and dvd player worked well with a small number of disc to watch. There is coop in the town where you can buy logs for the fire, take aways and cafe are also close bye. There is pub across the road from the coracle but we had no issue with this, no noise or trouble. The coracle is on a busy thoroughfare for people walking and there is a lovely smoke House in the middle of the old village.
Extremely dirty, shabby, in need of a full refurbishment, totally overlooked, noisy, no outside space, parking very difficult. Photos available of the filthy property

Excellent location, great cottage with the basic amenities needed for a short break.
Excellent location, great cottage with the basic amenities needed for a short break. However we had problems with a neighbour complaining about where we were parking our car even though it was legally parked.

Nice little cottage overall.
Nice little cottage overall. Had real trouble with the door lock and took many attempts to get in and out. Had no hot water for half the week but this was rectified eventually. Love Seahouses with it's variety of restaurants and coffee shops.

This is our 2nd time here and very pleased with our stay again. Parking is an issue but we did manage to find a parking place around the corner. The pubs opposite are a bit noisy on a Friday and Saturday but other than those two things, we were pleased with our stay.

Cosy cottage
Although parking is tricky the facilities at the cottage were fine. It's right opposite two pubs which didn't cause any disruption. On the whole a good place to stay, it's about one minute from the sea.
