Great property, exactly as listed. Very quiet area, and we all slept so well. Seeing the steam train travel across the bridge is a delight in itself. Communications with property manager also very good and fast response.

We had a lovely week in The Hurstings.
We had a lovely week in The Hurstings. The accommodation was warm and light, and had everything we needed and more. It is in a lovely location with the watermill and tea room a few steps away. The tea room does great cakes and lunches, and the tour of the watermill is fascinating. The Hurstings is an excellent base for day trips to Ludlow, Ironbridge, Shrewsbury and Tewksbury. Bridgnorth itself is a lovely town. We would recommend the food at the Royle but you do need to book.

Lovely holiday cottage near Bridgnorth.
Lovely holiday cottage near Bridgnorth. Everything you could need for a relaxing weeks break, DVDs, books, leaflets. The views are fab from the decking and we enjoyed watching steam trains go by. Visited Ludlow, amazed by how many old properties are in the town. Also went to Ironbridge, very touristy but nice. Drove to Shrewsbury and were pleasantly surprised by the town and had a good walk round there. Plenty of places to walk near Bridgnorth if you have a dog.

This is the second time we have stayed at the hurstings and we love it very much. To say there is nearly a 5 year gap, since our last stay, if was still in great condition.
We love watching the trains go by every day and even went on the train, so see the house.
But such a lovely place and wouldn’t recommended anyone stay.
We love it so much. We have booked to stay next October halfterm, a little sad that it’s over £100 dearer to go the same week next year. But, if the prices stay reasonable, it may become a yearly tradition.

We loved this holiday cottage, only niggle was the ceiling height, especially in the smaller bathroom. But once we remembered to duck we managed perfectly well.
It was great being able to see the trains go over the viaduct and to see the mill working. The little cafe was very good and the amount of wild life equally so.
The owner was extremely helpful.
All in all a very good holiday

This is a lovely cottage, only 100metres from the steam railway viaduct, in an idyllic wooded setting. Bird song and butterflies are the background to a perfect modern cottage which looks completely at home in its setting. The house was eminently practical with modern, high quality fixtures and fittings. We were lucky to enjoy glorious weather, but it would have been just as comfortable in the cold or wet. The TV remote baffled us - as they have at every cottage we’ve stayed in!
