Peacefully located with easy access to Bath, Cirencester and National Trust properties, this detached Cotswold holiday cottage, adjacent to the owner’s home, offers attractive accommodation. Its beautifully proportioned open-plan living area enjoys views across open countryside. Set in a delightful location, it lies close to a deli and a bakery, and a short walk away leads to the heart of Nailsworth with tennis, riding and golf available. Silver Birch Lodge makes an ideal base from which to explore Bath, Cheltenham, Slimbridge, Cirencester and Westonbirt Aboretum. There is easy access to footpaths including Minchinhampton and Rodborough Common. A variety of restaurants are close by, with specialist shops including an excellent delicatessen and an award-winning bakery. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

We had a wonderful time here.

We had a wonderful time here. It was lovely and quiet, really warm and very comfortable couldn’t ask for me ! The views were outstanding , The host was such a lovely lady throughly enjoyed our break ! would highly recommend , can’t wait to go back sometime

Fantastic cottage, spotlessly clean, amazing views. Beautifully light inside even on a cloudy day. King size bed was comfy, got v good nights sleep. Plenty of hot water. Only downside, which is nothing to do with the cottage itself, is the very narrow lanes around the area, although living where we do we're a bit more used to that! The owner was very welcoming & friendly and had even made some delish cakes. Would recommend this cottage for touring the lower Cotswolds.

A wonderful cottage and great owner.

A wonderful cottage and great owner. This was our second stay at Silver Birch Lodge this year, and both times were superb. The cottage is well furnished, clean with a lovely outlook over fields and the valley, yet handy for Nailsworth. Mandy is the perfect owner for us, greets us just after arrival, pops round to check everything was o.k. before we leave and is available if required. Hopefully we will return.

This is a lovely property & the quiet, peaceful location with a pleasant walk down into town where there are plenty of things to do, eat and buy suited us well. However you cannot sit up in bed at night due to the sloping roof. We pulled the heavy bed out to change this which is not what one needs to be doing on holiday! That left little space at the end of the bed before one bumped ones head on the other sloping roof! A bit of a problem as we are both tall. It seems that all this could be avoided by having the bed head where the huge wardrobe is & removing some of that wardrobe just leaving some to the left and right of the bed. It's easy to make such a suggestion but maybe there are technical reasons why not. All-in-all we still had a lovely stay.

Silver Birch Lodge is an excellent Cotswold-break base. It is sparklingly clean, has every facility one could need and the hosts are generous and friendly. The village has plenty cafes and restaurants and the cottage easily accessible on foot from the centre, although perhaps not so easily on a dark wintery evening! I would not hesitate to recommend.
