Named after the peak most prominent in its view, Elidir Cottage nestles in a perfect location for exploring Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula.. All on the Ground Floor:

Bedroom 1: Half Tester Kingsize (5ft) Bed Ensuite: Cubicle Shower, Toilet

Bedroom 2: Zip And Link 2 x Single (2ft 3in) Beds

Bathroom: Bath, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Patio with garden furniture and BBQ. Bike store. Parking. No smoking.. Named after the Snowdonia peak most prominent in its view, Elidir Cottage nestles on farmland just outside the quiet village of Bontnewydd. Detached from the farm buildings, this lovingly converted and tastefully co-ordinated 100-year-old property provides an idyllic setting and is the perfect base for relaxing or for exploring the Snowdonia National Park and the scenic Llyn Peninsula. Caernarfon Castle, Elidir (Electric Mountain), Mt. Snowdon and the isle of Anglesey can all be seen from the rear of the property and are well worth a visit. The cottage is a 10-minute walk from the village shop and pub or a 5-minute drive from the medieval walled town of Caernarfon, with its World Heritage listed castle. The Welsh Highland steam train passes through the village during the summer, providing scenic views from Caernarfon to Porthmadog. The Lon Eifion cycle path is accessible from the village and provides a popular route for visiting Caernarfon. Horse riding and golf are also available locally. The property is 5 miles from Dinas Dinlle beach, which is popular with families, or 20 miles from Ty Coch, the famous pub on a sandy beach. 15 miles to the west is the world’s longest zip wire ride at Bethesda quarry. Elidir Cottage can be booked with Gadlas (ref OE9) to sleep up to 10 guests. Shop and pub ½ mile.

We had a lovely Easter Break, Elidir Cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable, right out back was the fields with sheep and lambs which the kids loved. Very a quiet setting which we enjoyed immensely and the owners were friendly, welcoming and on hand if we needed them. The cottage was close to Caernarfon Castle and Snowdon with a Tesco within 5 minutes drive. Our stay was perfect and would definitely recommend to friends and family

It was a lovely cottage and we had a lovely time Just felt it could have been cleaner, cob webs everywhere our bathroom was not clean and I had to buy a washing up bowl as the one that was left was bad, having said that the owner was lovely and it has not put us off going again ,It just needs a bit more care when cleaningAlso the tv was a bit basic as no choice , it could do with a smart tv

It would be helpful to know what 'provision' was made at the cottages. It varies so much from place to place. We always come prepared, whether there is a 'welcome pack' or not but we have never stayed in a cottage which did not provide soap or a spare toilet roll.
