Nice old world cottage. Well equipped, but lounge fire did not work and microwave turntable did not rotate.
Very steep staircase with quite small steps meant care had to be taken, as with ducking through the low front door!
Nice having a garden and views of horses in adjacent field.
Very pretty cottage in beautiful surroundings. Only fly in the ointment was a neighbour that insisted I move my car from the allocated space at the rear of the property, so that he could park his car. He lives in a very large house across the road with a drive you could park ten cars in, so why he has to park in another area is beyond me. The area is difficult for dog walking with no adjoining fields to use. The one attached to the cottage is apparently private. That said there is a marvellous walking place attached to the local splendid church. It is a hidden gem with a waterfall and a pond. All in all we had a nice stay. If you can avoid smashing your heads on the doorframe and bedroom ceiling you will be fine.
Good communication from owner, beautiful thatch cottage near to Netherbury village. Enjoyed peace and quiet and wonderful garden.
Kitchen required a little more tlc but on the whole for a period property very good.
Should be noted there is no gate to the side of the building nor fencing all round although there are hedgerows which for some may create problems with dogs.
If you like walking this is a good area for that, villages within easy walking distance and plenty of footpaths.
Low entrance door (about 5 foot high) and steep stairs to the bedroom but to be expected in such a building.
