The cottage set on the grounds of the Lick Estate, overlooking the Loch. Di was there to great us at 4:00 pm as arranged. After a brief tour of the cottage (Di had a few cakes in the oven), we were left to our own devices. Everything you need is there, full set of dishes, charcoal bbq and tools, lots of towels and an extremely comfortable bed.
We found the location to be very quiet, with a great vantage point of the loch. The other cottage next door was also rented, but that didn’t present any problem in either proximity or noise. We did experience wi-fi issues with little to no connectivity, so if connecting is a priority, make sure you’ve got a solid data plan for your mobile.
The only recommendation for improvement would be to leave some instructions for the hob / range. A sign of great upkeep is the cleanliness of the cottage, but alas, the cleaning has tended to rub away the symbols for heat and settings, making the first few meals somewhat of a voyage of experimentation and discovery.
