The kitchen and shower room are on the ground floor, and upstairs on the first floor is the spacious open plan living and bedroom area, with vaulted beamed ceiling. Outside, there is a sitting-out area accessed from the kitchen, and guests are welcome to enjoy the owners’ gardens with a feature pond and barbecue area. This lovely property is well placed for exploring the area. The local village amenities are less than a 5-minute walk, and Small Dole falls within the South Downs Link, with the National Park being accessed about 2 miles away, so it is an ideal area for keen walkers. Woodsmill Nature Reserve and golf course are close by, and Gatwick is about a 30-minute drive. The nearest station at Hassocks, has regular trains to London (1 hour) or Brighton (20 minutes) and there are also local buses, so this is also a perfect base for those wishing to enjoy a car-free holiday! Plenty of National Trust properties, gardens and attractions are easily accessed, including Wakehurst Place, Nymans, Borde Hill, Glyndebourne, The Bluebell Railway, Brighton, Hickstead show ground, Lingfield races and Lewes. Beach 8 miles. Shop 550 yards, pub with restaurant 650 yards.
