I understand you were not happy about the added 100.00 cleaning fee and also that your review of me followed the notification of that charge. I rarely ever have to do that, but I felt it was warrented for the following reasons. 1. You departed 70 minutes past check-out time and you at the time admited to being intoxicated, having just woke up. 2. Many new towels were stained beyond washing, having been found used as cleaning rags for unkown spills. 3. The provided beach cannopy, chairs, and beach cart were found saturated in sand, also left in the middle of livingroom, nothing was placed back into carry casses or pre-cleaned. 4. New Area rug had stains with the smell from an alcholic beverage or beverages, it requred multiple hours of steaming to renew. 5. Not one item on the check out list was completed prior to your departure (including departure time), trash and towels were found scattered throughout. The guest room was acceptable, however, the master, kitchen, and livingroom had about enough sand to start an indoor private beach. 6. Due to the before mentioned items, my new guests were pushed back 2 hours for a later check-in time, this was in order to ensure the same quality of cleanliness as all guests should get. Also, New guests were compensated 100.00 for the requested later arrival time (the amount charged to your account). Maintenance Concerns. 1. Again, I apologise for the maintenance issues with the facility's central air system, as a result I provided 3 seperate 10,000 BTU portable a/c units. 2. You contacted me about the air temperature and I immediatly (within 30 minutes) responded and fixed the issue, there was a gap in the window about 2 inches that was closed. Prior to leaving I confirmed the issue was resolved, I did not hear from you again until I an hour following directed check-out time. the unit cooled quickly to 72 degrees once the window gap was closed Personal Comments 1. I made every effort to answer your questions rapidly, I answered your texts following your departure, at 11:30 at night, as you woke me up about the 100.00 additional cleaning fee charged to you. Every dime of that went to compensation for the new guests. I reminded you that upon your 70 minute late departure you left the place in very bad shape, it was so bad that it took 6 hrs to clean it right. 2. No sympathy was requested of you, just general conversation when I responded to your call, Just letting you know I would be out of town for the next 24 hrs on surgery, I am not very sure what you meant by this comment at all. With your damaging review as well as my own feedback, our business is concluded, your 100.00 extra cleaning fee was a very rare occassion, but also very warrented for the condition left of my investment paradise! I took on the challenge of updating/upgrading the place with new trim abd moldding, costal colors, new air system abd ceiling fans, updated electronics and much much more (pictures not posted as of yet)
