Thank you for taking the time to provide your review. As you have mentioned the apartment is just a short walk from Stockbridge and Comely Bank as well as the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Water of Leith walkway. Many visitors to Edinburgh just come of the city centre attractions and miss out on the many attractions that the outlying areas have. Being in a cal-du-sac the apartment sees very little traffic so is indeed very quiet for a city centre location. We hope to see you again soon.

Thank you so much for your kind comments. We are delighted that you want to come back. Regarding location - we looked for a quiet city centre apartment, in an interesting area with plenty cafes, restaurants and interesting small shops on the doorstep. Edinburgh has been called 'The Athen of the North' because it is built on seven hills. We can walk uphill to Princes Street in ten minutes. You are right though, some people might take longer. We are another few minutes to the Castle and the visitor attractions, however those areas tend to be noisey, sometimes into the 'wee small hours' if you are near a nightclub or late night bar. Thanks for taking the time to write a review and we love your comments they will be helpful for other guests. See you again then. Oh! we can now offer parking - and are delighted about this.

Thank you for your review of our apartment. We prefer to meet all of our guests on arrival but as in your case, guests can be delayed. This is unavailable so we try to stay flexible in such situations. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to meeting you again.

Thank you for your detailed review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and found the apartment so comfortable. We put a lot of work into maintaining the standard of the apartment so it means a lot to us for this to be appreciated. We hope to see you again next year.

Thank you for your kind review. It was a pleasure to have you stay in the apartment and we hope that you will return some time.

Thank you for your review. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay in the apartment. There are many amenities within a few minutes walk of the apartment as well as the community of Stockbridge. Steven

Thank you for your lovely comments. We clean and maintaining the apartment ourselves and try to maintain the high standard we like. Very sorry about there not being enough drinking glasses, there should have been four beside the wine glasses, so we will get that fixed immediately. Accidents happen, and we should have noticed there were not enough. We would love to have you recommend to friends and family, and if you should wish to return, we will give you a discount. Many thanks for taking the time to respond to this site.

Thank you for your review. You are correct Stockbridge is just a few minutes' walk from the apartment with many bars, shops and restaurants. Closer still however is the beautiful and tranquil Water of Leith walkway. Access to the walk is just next to the Stockbridge and can be followed upstream through the Dean Village and on for 8 miles to Balerno on the Western outskirts of the city or downstream for 3 miles to the port of Leith. Princes Street and the city centre is just over half a mile from the apartment up Dundas Street. It is a uphill walk which guests have reports taking anywhere between 10 and 30 minutes depending on ability. Dundas Street is services by 2 buses, the 23 and 27 each running at 10 minute intervals through the day with a journey time of 2 minutes to the city centre.

Thank you for providing your kind review. The apartment is in a lovely area with plenty of amenities close by. Parking at the apartment is on-street paid 8am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday. Free in the evenings and weekends. If you don't need your car during your stay we can offer free parking at our B&B on the outskirts of the city. I hope that we will see you again soon.

Thank you for your review. We are glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay in the apartment. We have tried to provide everything that guests would need so it feels like a home from home. You are right the walk up to the city centre is about 10 to 15 minutes then a further 10 minutes up the mound to the old town and castle. This is dependent on ability though and with children in tow it will take longer. There is also a regular bus service and taxis just a few minutes from the apartment. Please come again soon. Thanks again for your review.
