Not the apartment for us ..... though some of this was down to us making the wrong choice on location and probably our expectation of the apartment.
Plus point first - Susan was really helpful from first contact regarding booking the property - regular contact and extremely understanding and flexible.
Negative points - I'd prefer to think of these as observations, or things we think should be specified in the description, and which would have informed our choice, but here we go....
1. Parking is dreadful - the street in front of the property is very narrow, and on a steep slope (all the cars are half parked on the pavement). It's also a cul-de-sac and if the house at the bottom had had cars in front of it, there would have been nowhere to turn round - even so, it took me a 9 point turn in a small car to turn round in it, and we saw several locals reversing 100 metres up the road to get out - if you're not a confident driver you'll be stuck.
2. Yes, it's a 5 minute walk down to the beach, but a good 15 / 20 minutes walk back - the incline is very steep and not for the faint hearted (literally)
3. The apartment was VERY hot (we were there in July, but even so ...), and I'm afraid 2 old fans aren't going to keep it cool - yes, as mentioned, if you have the front windows and back doors open, you quite often get a breeze going through, but you're not going to sleep with door open ! Also, when we were there, the blinds on the front window were broken, so closing them wasn't an option.
4. As has been mentioned in other reviews, Joaquin next door is lovely and helpful, but he has two Yorkshire Terriers that literally didn't stop yapping the whole time we were there - any movement at all in the apartment, never mind the small terrace, set them off. Particularly annoying at night when trying to get to sleep.
5. Final point - we found the decor and facilities in the apartment a little "tired" - the kitchen especially could do with some modernisation.
As I said, not for us, but it is what it is, relatively cheap, in an authentic Spanish part of the City (not touristy at all) and hopefully my comments will help others make an informed decision as to whether to book it
