The bedroom features a hanging closet, drawer space, a new queen size Sealy Posturepedic mattress, two night stands with lamp lighting and a TV with remote.

The kitchen features a stainless refrigerator, stove with cooktop and oven + storage drawer for griddle and frying pans, plenty of linens and cooking / eating utensils, new thermos coffee maker, microwave oven, toaster for anything from bagels to pop tarts, and two bed trays. Next to the range is a shelving unit for your grocery store purchases and on top is a message center. Fire extinguisher included. There's also a battery charging shelf, plenty of trash bags and a trash bin. Washer/dryer is an apartment stackable, but there is a clothes line for towels, jeans, bathing suits and other heavy or very wet items.

Living room features a double recliner, lcoffee and end table, and a futon (for snoring partners). Books, Puzzles and games are in the entertainment center which also houses a SMART TV, Netflix, and Wireless internet. The closet houses the oars and life vests for the small row boat, beach umbrella and blanket, bait box and an electric broom . Two can sit at the table comfortably for eating and/ or internet use. Cupboard storage contains extra bedding, pharmaceutical supplies, and storage space for your needs

Outdoors features both shady and sunny patio areas. A new grill is right outside the door with a patio table and chairs. Sunning / beach/ sand chairs are just outside. Two lounging zero gravity chairs flank the other side of the door. Both sides of the yard are privacy fenced. Chain link fence on the water offers gate access to the fishing/ fish observation wall, all the way around to the dock. There is a small (400 lb. limit) boat with oars that can be launched from the dock. Also 2 new life vests. Fishing is allowed off the fishing wall. (Bring your gear) Of course watching the fish jump or the water foul while you have AM coffee or PM cocktails is fine too. Relaxing, calm area in your backyard, and the main street at your front yard makes this property ideal for those who just want to relax and those who want to explore the area. Trash can is provided at the side of the house and we'll bring it to the street for pick-up twice a week, and your reserved parking is under the carport for your vehicle's protection from the sun.

Bathroom: Houses a large shower, a towel closet including the top shelf beach towels, storage for shaving cream, etc. There's a complimentary body wash and shampoo and toilet paper. Bring your own bed pillows if you are coming by car, please for your own personal comfort and for hygienic reasons. As in a hotel, new pillows are not provided for every guest.

Nature will provide what it will in winter, hopefully some great warm, sunny days and an escape from the harsh weather. In summer, it's sunny and hot. Afternoon thunder storms are common but we have cool water rivers which are spring fed nearby, a natural habitat for manatee who love the 72 degree water.

Again, smoking is not allowed inside the house. OK outside, but NOT inside. Some of my guests need to have this regulation and it is warm enough in Florida that smoking outside should not be a problem. Please follow my house rules. Have a safe journey and a wonderful vacation. Call me if you need anything at all.

PS Copies of our three licenses are attached inside the cabinet door in the living room.

About Sandi or Bill Farrell

Here is a picture of us in our Music Store, "Sandra Farrell's ONSTAGE MUSIC", located in Port Richey (right next door to Hudson.) My husband Bill is there Tuesdays through Saturdays. We love going places and have used this site in the past for our own stateside trips, which is what captured our interest in making this cottage into a 'vacation' rental property. I love where I live because there's always something to do....I mean somewhere to shop or somewhere else to eat. Living here for 18 years has helped me to appreciate this specific area. We are formerly from Rhode Island and Illinois. I moved to Clearwater and Bill moved to St. Pete. I met him as a drummer / concrete company owner and I was a Real Estate Broker. We married one hundred days after we met and have been married now for 18 years. I own 2 yearly rentals in the area, but this is my first venture into 'vacation' rentals. I know what I like when I rent a vacation spot, and I bring my love for going places and doing things to my beginning this venture. I am retired and spend a lot of time working in my garden or going out with friends. I hope to welcome many people from all different areas, yet, I leave you to your peace and privacy. Thank you for considering 'the Seasider".

Sandi or Bill Farrell purchased this guest house in 2000

Why Sandi or Bill Farrell chose Hudson

This property is not part of someone's home. It is a completely private cottage with your own entryway and a locking gate., and your own private yard with privacy fence on both sides, plus reserved parking under the carport. This property also has its own thermostat. Why? Because it is truly separate. Plus it is not a condo. Or an efficiency apartment. No one over or under or on both sides of you. No sharing common ground except for the canal which belongs to everyone.

What makes this guest house unique

We want your stay to be the best you'll remember. This property says "Come and sit a while. Watch the fish jump, the hawks diving for dinner, the heron and the ibis, and maybe if you stay long enough with that coffee, beer or glass of wine, you will on rare occasion, see a dolphin swim in.And that's just your back yard. If you like to get up and go, you are close to many beaches, parks, and a very long bike trail, some excellent second-hand and antique stores, the mall, and all kinds of breakfast spots and seafood waterfront dining. World-renown heart hospital is less than a mile away. So is Bonati Spine Institute

. Whatever is your pleasure, I think we can meet it close by. Please note this home is "smoke-free".

Loved the adorable little beach cottage and the peaceful, private backyard! Fun feeding the ducks!

  • 5 of 5

The house was very tidy and clean with everything we needed right there. We could not have asked for better landlords, Sandi and Bill were the absolute best! Anything at all we needed they were quick to help us and accommodate us!! Our little Maltese loved running around in the private backyard, and we spent a lot of time out there too! The canal was great, we even took the row boat out as far as the gulf. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!!

Cozy renovated garage/cottage

  • 3 of 5

Price is Right....clean cottage on canal. Highly decorated in funky beach decor. Quite cozy bed and big shower plus Netflix. Great private place facing canal with fenced back yard. Enjoyed feeding ducks. Close to a busy road which we weren't expecting. I mistakenly thought it was on Hudson beach. Thanks to Sandi and her husband. They were great hosts.

Owner's Response: You had nothing negative to say except what you mistakenly thought. When I called you and asked if I could have improved in any way, your response was that I didn't have a dust ruffle on the bed. Wasn't going for that look in my "beachy' theme. After your arrival, I found you liked sweet wine. I went and bought you a bottle. You asked if you could have the grandkids stay over a couple of nights, even though my ad says I don't allow children. I said OK to a couple of nights. They were there almost the whole two weeks. I didn't say a word. I simply don't understand what a 5 Star experience is to you. You said you would correct it as it should have been 4 Stars. After we talked you agreed it really was a 5 star experience. When you walked in I'll quote you "WOW" This is even nicer than it looked in all the pictures. SURE IS.... and cleaner. Thank you for that.

This place is sooo cute!

  • 5 of 5

This cute little house is exactly as described by the owner. The owner, Sandra, met us at the house upon our arrival and gave us a tour. The house has everything you need! There is even a boat and kayaks if you want to take them out! She gave us ideas of things we could do while in the area and they were great! Weeki Wachee Springs was an awesome place to visit. The water is always cold and my daughter loved the water slides and the mermaid show. Clearwater Beach is not far either. There are lots of state parks in the area that are also fun to visit. This is the perfect location for beach hopping. We visited several beaches in the area and had a great time!

First impression was how clean the place was kept. Very well supplied in kitchen, bath. Nicely decorated. The owner takes pride in maintaining the cottage. Cable had Netflix which was nice although I didn't have time to use it. The place was all I needed and more. Thank you, Sandi

A great week

  • 5 of 5

Sandi and Bill were very helpful and accommodating. The apartment had everything we needed for a very comfortable week-long stay. Sandi even broke out one of the kayaks so I could paddle the canals. From our patio we saw birds and fish in this quiet cul de sac of the canal.

The location is just off of Rte. 19 with restaurants and stores nearby. Try Skinny's just across the street for great inexpensive food and a party atmosphere. You can also get fresh seafood to cook in across the street if you wish. The pink Key jumbo shrimp were divine! We found the location very convenient for our excursions to state parks to the north and south, and to other sites nearby. Don't miss the Botanical Garden and Heritage Village in Largo! Fabulous and free!!

Hudson is a quiet town, compared to the towns further south, but still plenty to see and do nearby. We would definitely return.

Owner's Response: We are so happy that you chose the 'Seasider' for your visit to Florida. The 'kayak adventure' was one we won't soon forget. You treated our little cottage like it was your own, and were very helpful on your departure. We couldn't have had better guests. Thank you, and we hope you'll visit us again soon... Bill & Sandi

2 month stay

  • 5 of 5

We live in Northern Mi. Spent 2 months (Jan-Feb 2017) . Felt right at home. Seemed like we were staying with my niece and nephew. Everything you need is right there. Looking forward to returning next winter. Sandy and Bill are the perfect hosts. Weather was beautiful and it was so nice sitting in the picture perfect yard in the sunshine.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your response, but I think we'd be more like brother and sister-in laws being there was no age difference .. lol. We really enjoyed having you and we're happy that our little piece of "sunshine" made you feel comfortable. Northern winters are so harsh, and there's nothing like Florida weather to cure the icy temperature blues. Hope to see you again. I'll keep the sun out for ya!

Owner lives next door and is there for any questions about the area. In the summertime (@ 93 degrees, the Gulf is usually right around the same temp. But we have rivers such as Weeki Wachee, Rainbow River and others that stay right around 72 degrees in the summer. So if you're thinking 'beach', this is the place to be. Clearwater Beach is pretty, but you will roast in the summer..... just sayin'
