The Residence is part of a dual-key property. On the other side is our Retreat, a separate fully self-contained accommodation.

Most guests never notice the other accommodation, though you may occasionally be aware of others nearby. We simply ask everyone to respect the peaceful setting.

Comfortable place great location

This property is located off a picturesque lane in a great location for people after both active and less active experiences. The main residence was very comfortable and very well appointed including in the kitchen. Ideal for large family get togethers or with a group of friends at any time of the year. Would not hesitate to recommend it!

Beautiful location

Beautiful house with gum trees and roos in the backyard. Close to ski tube. Underfloor heating was lovely but made it a little too warm when we lit the fire! Every room has own ensuite which was a lovely luxury though water not quite hot enough so never touched cold tap in shower. Overall very happy would visit again.

Beautiful property, warm, cosy & spacious

We rented Andrea's Whitehouse for 3 nights. There were 4 couples, we each had our own bedroom & ensuite. The house is beautiful & so warm. We had -6c temperatures at night & we had to take our jumpers off inside ! Plenty of firewood, well equipped kitchen & a gorgeous fireplace. We saw deer & kangaroos out the back , beautiful country surroundings & very quiet. Only a short drive to the mountains & Jindabyne. We walked the Waterfall walk from Sawpit Creek which was beautiful......highly recommended stay !!!

A home away from home!

This wonderful house is in the perfect location for a visit to the slopes - be it winter or summer! Our family of 5 and another family of 4 shared the residence, and there was plenty of room. All the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was incredibly well stocked and the surrounding grounds are tranquil and picturesque.

Perfect in Every Way!

My partner and I stayed at Andrea's White House for a week with another couple. It felt like a perfect home away from home and we couldn't have wished for a nicer place to relax. Andrea and Greg are amazing hosts and the surrounding area is so beautiful, you don't want to leave. The location is central to many attractions in the area as well as great restaurants. Family Getaway

The location of this property is perfect for the snow fields, literally on your doorstep, easy drive to Thredbo, ski tube or Jindabyne/Perisher etc. The house itself is warm with under floor heating and a great fire. We particularly liked the separate TV room for the children. The only regret I have is that I wish I had booked the Retreat which is separate entry but attached to the house. The people there I am sure could hear us and we could hear them, but otherwise we managed well. I would highly recommend this house to stay at the snow, it is very accommodating for a large group. We found having our own bathrooms a very big plus. It is also close to some great places to eat and Jindabyne has lots of shops if you need supplies. The house is very well equipped as well. They've thought of everything. We had an issue with the power but this was rectified immediately by the manager. If you need somewhere to stay near Thredbo this is fabulous.

It was a pleasure to host this family for their snow getaway. Communication was good and the power issued sorted quickly once notified. We really try very hard to provide everything that is needed to make a stay as comfortable as possible. The underfloor heating and wood fire really make a difference in the chilly winter months, nothing beats relaxing in front of a wood fire. The Residence being close to the snow is a very big plus during the busy winter months. We do let people know that this is a dual occupancy...I will make sure this is clearer. A wonderful home to enjoy a snowy mountains escape.

The White House was the perfect base for our ski holiday, conveniently located between Jindabyne and the ski tube. The house is extremely well equipped to enjoy delicious meals, cosy fireside reading or fun board games and incredibly charming as well as comfortable for a crowd. A very special property in every respect!

Amazing house for an amazing snow getaway!!

The house was even more beautiful than in the photos... the rooms were lovely set and the concrete heated floor was just perfect! Location was also great! Definitely recommend to stay at this property! We left with a feeling to come back very soon...!

For many years we did the trip from Sydney to the Snowy Mountains. Hubby Greg loves to ski and so does our daughter.
We decided we should try a tree change and bought the White House & lived here and ran our house as a guest house until a business opportunity came up in Sydney and we relocated back to Sydney for work.
Finally after many years we have returned to the White House and are enjoying all the wonderful things on offer in this region....Greg is enjoying the snow fun in winter, as for me I am loving the rural scene and enjoying the great walks in summer.
We do have other business and work commitments which see us moving around a bit...however we do consider this home and really enjoy making sure our guests have a wonderful time.

Why they chose this property

We jumped at the chance to buy the White House, it is unique in that it is 5 acres of rural enjoyment but we are close to the township of Jindabyne and the ski fields for access is great for winter. Properties don't come up very often in this location so we thought we should to do jump in to the rural life .... we think it is one of the best decisions we made.

What makes this property unique

We love the fact that we are on 5 rural acres with breathtaking views and sometimes even snow covered. The house is warm with the underfloor heating so it is delight in winter to just enjoy.
There is plenty of room for all in our Residence.
We love good coffee and cooking up a storm. We make sure the kitchen has everything you need to get the day off to a good start with an espresso and all the gadgets you could think of to help you cook up a storm
What really works well for our guests is the en suite bathroom for each bedroom. We are often told how well this works.
Of truly special note is the screened outdoor Alfresco Room with the Weber Q - this is enjoyed year round by our guests with sun downer drinks and an evening BBQ watching the friendly locals drop by.
Cosy underfloor heating in winter throughout and air conditioning in summer ensures a super comfortable stay.
In Winter one of the biggest benefits during the busy ski season is that we past Jindabyne and all the traffic congestion that we can see...a 5 min drive to the ski tube taking you to Perisher is just perfect and if you are a Thredbo fan then it is just a 20 minute drive. This is really appreciated by our guests in winter.
