The Buckland features 5 self-contained luxury accommodation for couples. The studios are each a contemporary retreat built just for two. They are set well apart from one another to ensure complete privacy. Each has an open living area with stylish cord and leather furniture and bedrooms featuring custom build king size Queensland walnut timber beds. Funky bathrooms with double rain showers and full glass walls allow private bush views..... just watch the peeping wombats.
The studios present the ultimate in self-contained accommodation - no corners have been cut here - goose down doonas, espresso coffee machine, seductive mood lighting, plush robes and 2 private decks - this is truly the art of indulgence!
Set amid 40 acres of rolling countryside & adjoining lush bush land, they offer amazing views over the surrounding vineyards & chestnut groves to Mt Buffalo. Tucked away in the picturesque Buckland Valley, yet close to Bright (12 kms), Mt. Buffalo (20 kms) and Mt. Hotham (65 kms).

The Buckland Studio Retreat is the epitome of luxury, comfort and style set in perfect surround of this bucolic valley. It was lovely surprise to find the website actually corresponded to what on offer – “eco-friendly design, stylish, contemporary interior, nature-inspired hues, stunning views and complete privacy”. I certainly didn’t want to leave, but I’m coming back. A sentiment echoed by everyone who had written in the guest book. Just waiting for the café to open. Hurry up.

About us:
Dave and Melany Dalbosco
A true local at heart, Dave grew up right here in Porepunkah. Upon completion of his secondary education, he caught the travel bug, setting off to see the world, gaining experience, life skills and infinite sights. Dave also added to his formal education with a trade background and meticulous skills in the construction industry.
Melany originally hails from Geelong, where she grew up and completed her education. She too caught the travel bug exploring parts of Australia, where she was able to refine her considerable hospitality skills working across regional parts of Victoria, including Mt Hotham and also Western Australia, before studying and qualifying as a remedial massage therapist in 2004.
With a strong desire to return to his roots, Dave finally returned to his hometown of Porepunkah in 2016 with his wife Melany and their young family (including Monty their fur baby), ready for a new chapter, where they have found themselves as custodians of the picturesque Buckland Studios, with what they see as a true blessing to live, work and share with you the beauty that is the Buckland Valley.

Dave and Melany’s days are filled keeping the Buckland Studios maintained and looking their very best for their guests. Being natural entertainers, they enjoy adding those special touches to ensure their guests feel pampered during their stay.
Firmly established in the local community, both have extensive knowledge of the local area as well as the Alpine Region. We encourage you to ask their advice about places to visit, things to do and see, cafes, restaurants, wineries and local experiences. You’ll also be pleased to know that Melany also operates Revive Bright, and offers a range of remedial and relaxation massage treatments.
