We had a great time in Lorraine‘s holiday house in Myola. Despite the rain we made great use of „our“ beach and appreciated the bikes that we could use. Next time we come better equipped with kayaks/SUPs to investigate the creek and its resident dolphins! Unless you are planning to cook gourmet meals, IGA in Callala Bay has everything that is needed, just a short drive from the house.Thank you Lorraine!

A wonderful time at Myola

We had the most wonderful stay over Easter, the property was perfect for a relaxing and fun-filled break. Our host, Lorraine, was absolutely amazing, incredibly thoughtful and attentive, she made sure everything was just right from the moment we arrived. Even a little gift of easter eggs in our bedrooms!We especially loved riding the bikes and walking along the beach with our dogs, such perfect spot to unwind and explore. Every detail had been considered to make our stay comfortable and memorable.Thank you, Lorraine, for your generous hospitality — we’ll definitely be back!

Amazing house, fantastic location

We had an amazing time at Myola. The house has absolutely everything you could ask for. Just pack your clothes. It is in a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of the main areas which we loved. All are easily accessible. Lorraine is the best host I’ve ever met. Friendly and quick to respond. She really cares and goes above and beyond. You couldn’t ask for a better host. We will be back. Thank you

Very Special House

What a wonderful holiday house in a wonderful area - the beach down the end of the street is perhaps one of the best you will ever come across. I have never known an owner to put such an effort into everything - right down to the Chrissy Decorations. There were plenty of places to sit and enjoy the wildlife and the peace and quiet. Our dog was made to feel very welcome. We will certainly be returning - next time staying longer - 4 days in not enough. Thank you Lorraine

Our family getaway

We were impressed with Saltwater from the moment we arrived. Bright and homely, very clean and lots of creature comforts. Our kids loved the teen retreat and challenged us to more than a few table tennis games. Our dogs loved the big garden and extra doggy comforts. Lorraine was contactable throughout our stay and helped so much. Myola is a quiet little town with great access to beaches close by. Highly recommended! Thanks Lorraine! You went above and beyond.

We loved our stay

From the moment we booked, Lorraine was very communicative and gave us all the info we’d need for our stay. We were very much looking forward to our weeklong stay and we certainly were not disappointed. Saltwater is a lovely, clean and well appointed beach house with everything one could need. The spacious double garage converted to a great teenager’s retreat was also impressive. The fusball and table tennis tables got a decent workout. Don’t need to mention how close to beaches, fishing, etc is and there is a dog beach close by. There is also a good pizza place in Callahan Bay that delivers as well as an IGA. Our lab loved the place too and appreciated the bed, bowl and beach towel that had been prepared for her too. I asked my 10yo son to tell me what he thought of our stay and he said “beautiful”, “awesome”, and “amazing” lol Look forward to returning at some point.

Perfect family get away!

Myola is a beautiful, peaceful spot away from the crowds of Jervis Bay tourist areas. The house is situated a short walk to the dog friendly beach in one direction & boat ramp in the other. Local shops are Callala (5 min drive) or Nowra (30 min drive) for larger shops & supermarkets. Saltwater is situated on the main road but set back from the street so the house is very quiet. The garden is very tranquil with a plethora of bird life. There is plenty of undercover outdoor seating which was great for us as the weather wasn't great during our stay! I loved relaxing on the Balinese lounge with a book & cup of tea, listening to the wind in the treetops & waves in background. The house was clean & comfortable with good sized bedrooms & plenty of storage for your luggage. The kitchen was well stocked with all mod cons, however there was limited space to put pantry items away. There is also the teen retreat in the converted garage with additional beds for your independent kids + table tennis & fusball table. Lorraine was fantastic! From the moment we booked to the day of our departure she was in contact or available if we had any questions. We have already booked for next year :D Thank you Lorraine & Clive for making our holiday so easy xx

Great place to relax

Myola is very quiet compared to some of the other places on the bay and the coast. We enjoyed walking on the beach, bush walks and cycling the numerous forest tracks.

Great location - away from the crowds

Overall property was great and owner was fantastic went it came to communication. She could not have been more helpful. I liked the fact the property was off the beaten track - we stayed there during the January school holidays and it was great to be away from all the crowds. My tip - get a Woolworths delivery the day you arrive. Not a lot of shops around and the local IGA definitely has 'tourist prices'.

A perfect beach house with a fantastic host

We stayed at Saltwater for two nights over a lovely weekend, two couples plus a 4-year old girl and a dog. We had a lovely relaxing time. Saltwater is a perfect little beach house. It has a beautiful garden with big leafy plants, very well kept. You can tell a lot of work goes into keeping it this nice. The outside deck is very comfortable with a large comfortable table and comfy chairs. The inside of the house was just as nice, very clean and lovely with a lovely beachy decor. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay from fluffy towels, to a well equipped kitchen. The area is beautiful. The beach, which is a short distance away, is absolutely stunning, and the inlet was perfect for a young child. It is a very secluded area, but also very close to Huskisson via ferry. Lorraine went above and beyond as a host to make all of us feel welcome, including our child and our dog. She was very responsive and did everything to make our stay a wonderful experience.

Perfect Get-Away Home

Saltwater is a beautiful, tranquil and excellently maintained getaway that is everything we needed. The house is surrounded by the enclosed garden which is luscious and spacious. Plenty of room for our 5 year old to play and the four legged fur baby. We had the perfect time away enjoying the creek and the dog friendly beach. Lorraine is an excellent host, her attention to detail and let of communication was wonderful.

Perfect location in secluded Myola yet still only a short walk to the magnificent Callala beach. Particularly love the thoughtful touches and extras like full cold water on kitchen bench, Christmas decorations, bikes and snorkelling gear. Not to mention return of jewellery left behind! Thank you!

Great property and excellent owners

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Saltwater house. Lorraine thought of everything to make sure we felt like we were at home and had all we need for a great holiday. The kids loved the retreat , loved the location and loved the bikes - had memorable rides along the beach using the bikes provided.

Best holiday ever!

We stay in myola loads of holidays, but this first time renting a home there. This home is immaculate. Lorriane is very helpful, friendly and accomdating. Our family and friends plus kids loved everything about it!.. the photos currently shown doesnt show justice, its more beauitiful in person. Had everything you could ever need and more plus little extras. We will return and its worth it.

This is a great place to stay - very convenient to the beach, creek and Husky ferry. Lorraine , the owner, was really helpful providing everything necessary for a stress-free stay. Her suggestion of a bike ride on the beach at low tide was great fun! I would recommend this property for a relaxing family getaway - including the dog.

What a fantastic set up, love the house the safe yard the retreat was a treat. I stay with my sister and my son and a friend + 3 little dogs which had a active fun time, the weather was amazing no rain when sydney did. ha! we had so much fun we even did a swap for 2 nites in the retreat while the boys had the house for 2 nites. would love to come again and would also love to thank the owners for such a relaxing time and well set up.

I'm English and came to Australia in 1999 . I started off my career in the Hotel Industry, then Travel, Recruitment, Real Estate and back to Recruitment. So I guess I am a people person!
Clive and I discovered Myola on a Sunday drive looking for a property that was advertised for sale. We had stayed in Huskisson before and had found that "Husky" was too busy for us, we wanted a place to escape the "busy hum" that Sydney has.
Myola is unique and is usually very peaceful (gets busy in School hols), we bought "Saltwater" 18 months later after our trop in June 2008, our Golden Lab Ollie loved the beach and we wanted a Dog friendly beach. Saltwater was a holiday home when we viewed it and we decided leave it that way, putting in a mix of old and new, keeping it relaxed and chilled with a beach theme.
We have tried to keep everything like a "home from home" so that our guests can enjoy themselves and not have to bring the kitchen sink. We also have listened to our guests and made additions over the years. Compared to other places we have stayed in I believe we are well catered and we have guests re-booking year after year.
Now we have Quincy, a Chocolate Lab, he loves it there too and goes a little bit crazy every time he arrives in Myola.
We hope you love it there too, it is a special spot very undiscovered 12 years ago, still a little sleepy village and a place to chill/recharge.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

Saltwater is on a 800 m2 fenced block, the garden is tropical with 4 Giant Bird of Paradise trees and well established plants.
We also have a couple of resident Blue tongue's and its usual to see the big kangaroos running down the street! It's a beautiful area, safe swimming for the kids and plenty of space for Kayaking or Stand-up board activity. The birdlife is amazing and they come for a daily feed around 4pm. The house is set away from the street so we are lucky to have a quiet setting and a bush view from the lounge/dining. Flat block, good for kids and your fur babies. We have always been scrupulous in our cleaning practices, steam cleaning after each stay and cleaning all surfaces.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Myola is simply unique!
We try to make it a home for you too with all that you need and some little extra touches that hopefully make you feel very welcomed and in a relaxed.
We are being discovered and I am sure it will get busier over the next few years and the locals are saying we will be the next "Hyam's".
We have a fabulous long sandy beach and beautiful spit (that Huskisson try's to steal in their marketing!) plus plenty of walking tracks and the water's edge a short distance away. You can hear the surf from the property of a morning and night as its so quiet.
We have a fire pit that can be used mostly in the Autumn/Winter months as we are in a bush zone.
Very much a kid friendly area and a great place to take the dog on holiday, such a shame to leave part of the family at home or in care, bring them with you!
