We had a great time! The living room area was spacious and ideal for group activities, and the kitchen was well-stocked for cooking, which was our plan. However, the house and dock need a deep clean to get rid of cobwebs and bugs, and the showers need a revamp (there was mold on the shower curtains). The fountain outside should be cleaned to avoid stagnant water and get rid of water bottles. Some doors don’t lock, and a tarp covers part of the ceiling in 2nd story bedroom.

Emmett is an amazing owner who made sure we had everything we needed. The place is absolute fabulous. Beds were comfortable and the VIEWS were stunning. We caught nearly 40 catfish on worms from the dock. Also you will have your own aquarium view under the dock light. Swirling bait fish and a ton of spotted and grey gar fish. This is our second stay at one of his properties. Highly recommend.

Relaxing Girls’ Weekend

40th birthday celebration

The host was very accommodating during our stay and made us feel right at home; treated us like family practically. If you rent this place, rent the boat too. Made our stay that much more enjoyable!!

Perfect Christmas Gathering Spot

We selected False River and this property as a meeting location for family to spend the holidays together. The main floor was perfect for visiting, playing games, and celebrating. We used the outdoor fire pit for two days straight. The bedrooms were spacious and the dock area was amazing. What a great spot!

Awesome Family Trip

Great home on the river, beautiful view, wonderful outdoor area & pier. We had a blast fishing, boiling shrimp & just hanging out there. Beautiful house with cabin feel

We stayed at the house for the weekend to attend the LSU football game. House is right on the False River and it’s comfortable and cozy. If you fish there’s great fishing in the back off the dock. The house is clean and very spacious. When we arrived, we love that it had the soft music playing, it was perfect . Overall booking and stay was a five. If there’s any downside to this place, it will definitely be the Parking. The driveway is very hard to see especially at night and it’s on a very steep hill with not much room to park. One car is not so bad, but more than one vehicle in the driveway is stressful. However, overall greatness of the house overshadows a little parking stress.

Peaceful 3 Day Stay

Really enjoyed our 3 days stay at this rustic place. Furnished nicely and plenty of room inside and out and very quiet and relaxing with great views. The owner Emmett was very accommodating the whole time. We rented the pontoon boat which topped off the experience. The weather was perfect which made the stay even better. Great place to stay!

Always a great time!

This house is perfect for our family and friends. It’s setup well for entertaining. The location is great and the owner couldn’t be more attentive, making sure everything is perfect for an enjoyable stay. I highly recommend this property and will be back with my family again.

Great place!

It was grandkids (teens), one of their parents, and grandma and grandpa. Location was great—quiet. The house was spacious and comfortable with great views of the lake. We were close enough to town to pick up supplies. The music theme was a hit! Loved our stay! Hope to be back soon.

Relaxing!!

We loved our stay! The views of the lake/river from every room was so refreshing and relaxing. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We also reserved the party barge and enjoyed cruising and hanging out on the lake. We will be back!!
