Peaceful, relaxing, with dolphins visiting daily, we had a wonderful break. All mod cons are here, we had a fire outside with a full moon, and the only really cold day, we had a fire inside with was superb. Our beagle enjoyed his stay frequenting the beach without fear. This shack is located with the beach at your doorstep, and would definitely recommend.

Winter getaway

You cannot fault the location of this place - beach on your doorstep.We stayed in July but the Owner supplied plenty of wood and the place warms up quickly once the pot belly stove gets cranking. And the outdoor firepit was delightful in the late afternoon (watching the Dolphins and sea lions swim past) and early evening.Having read previous negative reviews regarding the cleanliness the state of the Property on arrival didn't shock us but was a little disappointing to see - it did take some cleaning on our behalf to get the place to what we would consider a respectable standard.But once that was done this place provides all the creature comforts expected of an old school beach shack.A couple of minor additions to this stay would have made the experience perfect - firstly a decent vacuum for the inside (Dyson's are relatively inexpensive these days), secondly, a BBQ grate for the outside fire would have made the steaks we bought at Ardrossan Butcher that much better cooked over hot coals and finally a leaf blower for the outside patio area to help keep the sand at bay (although being on the beach sand is obviously to be expected).Other than those minor irritations, this place is as described - one of the original shacks (manage your expectations) but perfect for our little family holiday with the dog (we have a black labrador that absolutely loved her stay).

Wonderful area for family holiday, warm & cosy, comfy beds, everything we needed for cooking supplied. Lovely walking on beach & back scrub areas. Fire outside (wood supplied) for spuds, sweet potato, corn cooked on coals, followed by mandatory marshmellows. Had viewings of dolphins. Plenty parking area.

Stunning Location

We had the most beautiful stay for 3 nights. Great fishing and stunning walks along the beach. Would definately stay again.

Great shack awesome location.

Michael's shack is extremely comfortable and spacious and in a great location. Beach views are amazing. It had all the necessary inclusions to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The front porch area is large and very shady including lots of trees and shrubbery which is not that common for many shacks along the point. Yes it is rustic as it is one of the original shacks, but clean and comfortable. Michael is also very responsive with any questions. Thank you for sharing your place.

Relaxing beach front holiday

The shack is a shack. Very comfortable, spacious, tidy and well equipped. We had a very relaxing stay. Caught lots of crabs too. We would definitely stay again.
