Enjoyable stay!

The property was just as pictured. Great location, walkable to Turtle Bay and the beach. Wish the beds were more comfortable but otherwise we had a great stay!

Quick getaway

I wish we stayed longer. It was relaxing, clean, spacious. Everything that I expected. Very pleased with our short staycation. But we plan to be back again. How far in advance can we book?

We had a great time here

My wife and I and four of our kids, plus a baby, stayed here for few days in March. The place was great for our needs and we had a nice stay. We did have some trouble receiving emails from the manager with the instructions, but were able to easily resolve our questions with a quick phone call. I would have liked to stay longer and see more if the actual resort. My daughter stepped on a sea urchin at the beach and so we cut that activity short. I would stay here again. Thanks for a fun and memorable trip.

The condo was on the golf course and the setting was nice and quiet. The place was clean and well maintained. The management company was attentive. The cookware was not in good condition and limited with one sauté pan. I recommend replacing them and the sheets on the bed were worn and thread count low. The house was otherwise well stocked. There is excellent restaurants on the property and the grounds were beautiful… I would rent it again and recommend it.

Amazing location for relaxing family fun!

Our family had spent a few days in the hussle and bustle of Waikiki and were ready to relax. Kuilima estates definitely provided a beautiful much needed relaxation. Our family loved the proximity to all the local beaches, the safety of turtle bay is a factor that helped us choose kuilima and we LOVED it. The suite is well taken care of with a few things that could use some tweaking. The beds were absurdly uncomfortable. Pilly sheets made it even worse (just throw them out). If management could pay attention to the little things the stay could be even better. Squeaky ceiling fan and Screaming dryer. Loved our stay would be happy to return to the area.

Good size condo in great North Shore location

We have stayed in 30 plus condos in Hawaii over the last 20 years. If possible, I would rate this condo 3.5. The reason for a lower rating is that the condo needs quite a bit of maintenance type updating, including paint (particularly all the wall moldings), repairs and some furniture replacement, including at least one mattress and sheets. The maintenance issues don’t show up in the pictures. It was a premium price, and I was disappointed it wasn’t spiffy. (Doesn’t have to be perfect.) We were also disappointed in the interactions with the management company. We did not feel the Aloha spirit from them. Now, getting past the problems, I will say that we enjoyed our stay, and there are positives. It is relatively roomy, and the bonus twin beds in the loft were great for the one child who traveled with us. He felt like he had his own bedroom. Even though it’s open space, you really don’t notice the twin beds from the living room. We know that condos to stay in on the North Shore are limited. We love staying in the golf course condos, and this is our second time. It is easy to walk to Turtle Bay beach and resort, as well as the trails. It’s close to places to eat, local and franchise, as well as the PCC. It is a country type experience as opposed to the traffic of Honolulu. There is a lock on the front screen door, and we were able to safely keep the front door open to allow breezes to flow through. The AC on the second floor wasn’t needed, and we only needed the AC in the first floor bedroom for a couple of hours in the evening. We only had one “water bug” visit us during our stay and no ants or other insects. Our last comments: there is no beach equipment, only beach towels. There are no hot tubs.

Spacious and Comfortable

Great, comfortable place to stay, whether you just need a place to rest your head or would like to relax throughout the day at the pool or looking over the golf course. Clean and tidy throughout. Minor trouble with the screen door, but didn't affect our great stay at all.

Tropical Home away from Home

We had a wonderful time at Turtle Bay Resort. Everything about ot was just heavenly. Away from the overwhelming city and we got to walk in the sandy beach close by every morning. The beautiful fragrance of frangipani and pulmeria on the morning is what I missed so much. It was just like living in my own island back home in Fiji. We will be coming back soon. Thank you very much for making our vacation a beautiful memories that will be forever in our heart. Vinaka and Mahalo Turtle Bay Resort.

Nice. Clean and convenient.

We use these condos quite frequently, as my husband has work in the area and I accompany him. This condo is clean enough and nice, though the sofa is not comfortable at all and there are no rugs to soften the tile floors, except in the bathrooms. There are queen sized beds, rather than king, but they're pretty comfortable. We liked it.

Just One Thing

Very nice unit -- the 2 bedrooms have portable window a/c. The sleeping area in the loft got quite warm and the ceiling fan clanked loudly. No way to adjust the speed on it. Had to use a different portable fan for any relief. Using the clothes dryer vents the exhaust air up onto the loft area, which made the discomfort worse. Otherwise stay was quite satisfactory.

Great location and very comfortable for a party of four. I would not recommend this to elderly or people with balance issues. No grab bars in first floor bathroom and stairs to 2nd floor are quite treacherous for elderly. The only other thing to make this a perfect stay would be new dishes, currently just a few mismatched plastic and ceramic plates, need a place setting for party of six since the rental site states 6 people max.

Great Trip!

We had a great experience at this location. The only thing I'd want to be super aware of before hand is that the two twin sized beds are not in a room with AC. The only air conditioner is in the two bedrooms. The location was clear and easy to find. The property is clean and well maintained. I'd definitely recommend!

This condo was exactly as pictured. There were 4 adults and 2 children accommodated easily in this condo. The condo was clean and the lanai was great. It was supplied with enough essentials for the 6 of us...toilet paper, dish soap, etc. There are 2 A//C units in the 2 bedrooms which don't cool the entire condo down should the trade winds die down, which fortunately only affected us for a couple times. We felt the condo was exactly like described. Couch isn't very comfortable but it served its purpose.

Fun in the Sun

The washer and dryer did not work well at all.We felt the condo has not seen a good cleaning of the ceiling fan and corners. It needs a coat of paint and touch ups. Only one piece of seating furniture, so not comfortable for visiting in the living room area. The light switches were hard to figure out, and some need some TLC. For the price, the accommodation should be cared for more. No perks from the Hotel itself, for staying at these estates. Other than this, it was a good stay.

Vacation rental review 2018

Nice and clean. Just was a little unhappy that they didn’t have too much in the kitchen to use. They only provided one roll of toilet paper and half a roll of paper towels. If you plan to cook, please take your own condiments and cooking utensils.
