This property was AMAZING! The house and property are immaculate and well maintained! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our family meals. The games room provided fun activities during the rainy hours. We enjoyed kayaking, canoeing and fishing. Bob communicated prior to our arrival to ensure we got the most out of our trip and was responsive when we had a couple of questions. We definitely would like to make this an annual tradition!

Best VRBO Stay Ever!

The Blue Bayou is, simply put, Amazing! The location, the house, the fishing, the Cowboy Cauldron fire pit, the mini beach and the Boat House -- all top notch!! We had an incredible week with our Family. The owner, Bob, was extremely responsive to any questions we had during our stay and his attention to detail with the house design and extras (fish food, fishing light in the lake to draw the fish in and allow night fishing, ping pong accessories, amazing kitchen that was well stocked....the list goes on! We highly recommend The Blue Bayou for any family, large or small and we will definitely be back!

Great family vacation home!

We are a family group of 17 and this house was just what we needed. Plenty of room to sit together at meals and 2 refrigerators to store food and drinks. With 9 kids ranging from 3-18, there was plenty to do to keep them occupied. The covered dock was ideal for fishing and swimming. The owner is quick to respond to questions. We had a wonderful time and recommend this home without reservation!

Don't hesitate -- Blue Bayou is pretty close to perfect

Blue Bayou is actually better than its pictures (which make it look pretty nice)! It's modern and spacious, with large rooms and high ceilings and a beautiful view of the lake. The little cove doesn't have much boat traffic making it an even better choice is you have young kids. We just thought it was more peaceful than other Lake Anna houses we've stayed in. It is stocked with everything for fun on the lake (no fighting over watercraft as there are plenty), down time in the house and the comforts of home. And that blue and white inflatable off the dock -- SO much fun. Only one suggestion, if you are a bird watcher, bring binoculars! I wish I had for the eagles, osprey, heron, swallows and others. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days and would love to come back. Don't hesitate to book it!

The Blue Bayou has it all! It is perfect for all ages to stay and play and relax and take in the beauty. Everything was new and clean and had so many small touches throughout the house that made the stay extra special.

Amazing Family Vacation

My family had an amazing time staying at the Blue Bayou. The home, property and lake were all pristine. The owners were attentive and communication was great. Lake living at its finest.. Swimming, Fishing, boating, kayaking, games, relaxation and family time! Everyone had FUN and the 12 of us had plenty of room and we felt right at home. Memories for a lifetime, A Great family retreat! Highly recommend and we'd definitely book again.

We had a great time at the Blue Bayou! The home was beautiful, clean, stocked with everything you could need, tons of entertainment options both inside and outside. We had 14 people in ages ranging from 11 to 75 and everyone enjoyed themselves. Probably the best vacation lake house we've ever stayed in.

Excellent communicator

The property was amazing from beginning to end! Bob, the property owner was highly communicative weeks before the reservation. I had asked for an early check in and he called to tell me that would almost certainly be no issue, but that he would confirm as soon as his cleaning crew was done. He also mentioned several things to do around the lake and services that I may be interested in. The day of, he communicated clearly the exact time the house was ready via text. The house was perfectly clean and had SO MUCH stuff to entertain with. We thoroughly enjoyed the games downstairs as well as the fire pit and kayaks. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Property A+ Owner

Stayed 15-22 May 2021 and I can say that it was perfect. We had one minor problem and Bob (the owner) went out of his way to solve it. You won't find a more personable owner. The setting was great, fishing excellent, accommodations and amenities first rate. My family (especially) the grand children had a wonderful time fishing and playing the games in the game room. Thanks again Bob.

Wonderful stay

The Blue Bayou was everything we were looking for! The house is very clean and spacious. It has great amenities and it was very easy to communicate with the owner. Bob gave us tips and was very responsive. The private beach was a hit! We enjoyed everything about it: fun games inside, a dock with the bar, the watersports equipment, the awesome firepit and the comfortable beach chairs. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

A Dream Vacation Home!

Our stay here well exceeded all expectations. The house was so clean, stocked, organized. The views, decor, & layout were an absolute dream. The owner was easily accessible & accommodating. Unforgettable weekend

This was truly amazing house, celebrated my wife’s 40th birthday with family and friends for a weekend. Very spacious with lots of room, and beautiful lake views. Furniture is updated. House is super clean and had extra towels and bedsheets. Would love to come back during the summer for longer gateway.

50th Anniversary

This place is gorgeous! Most well stocked kitchen which was also wonderful! The Adams have put a lot of love into this house and it was such a wonderful experience from the house, to the trained catfish at the boat dock, the fire pit which was perfect, to the floating witches that came by on paddle boards. Perfect weekend and my in-laws were beyond impressed. Totally recommend this place for quiet family gatherings. I would definitely rent again.

Nice home. Owner was awesome.

Home is very nice, new and clean. The dock with bar was convenient while enjoying the private beach with paddle boards, kayaks and a canoe. Located in a quiet cove. would definitely rent again.
