This beautiful one-bedroom apartment is set within the well-known Melaleuca boutique resort on Williams Esplanade, with one of Queenslands best beaches right on the doorstep. Recently fully Architecturally renovated, the apartment provides a delightful coastal ambience, with glimpses of the ocean from the private balcony. With air conditioning, a full sized kitchen, internal laundry and new appliances throughout including a coffee machine, theres nothing left to want for a hassle free holiday. Free high speed Wi-Fi, smart TV and Netflix are provided, and the apartment lives up to its delightful name, with lovely turtle themed accents adding a personal touch. The accommodation is perfect for couples or small families, with a king size bed for the grown-ups and a large sofa bed for children.



Turtle Dreaming is just a short stroll to the locals choice takeaway, Petes Place, as well as romantic dining at Reef house, family lunches at the Surf Club and the worlds best pizzas at Portofinos. For those inspired to meet the apartments namesake, there are several tours for turtle watching available in Palm Cove.

Great apartment

The apartment was great! The area was beautiful! I would stay here again in a heartbeat! We watch the sun rise each morning and walked the beach. The apartment had everything we needed, including a fully equipped full sized kitchen. The town was quaint and everyone in the area was very friendly.

This is a beautiful property

This is a gorgeous apartment. It has all the amenities you need. The beach is across the road. It is in a quiet area so you can relax in peaceful surrounds. Beautiful gardens surround the pool. It’s 9 minutes to Smithfield Skyrail and Smithfield Shopping Centre, 18 minutes to Cairns, 1hr to Port Douglas. Highly recommend this accomodation.

Maintenance Defects

My husband and I inspected the unit when we arrived and found the following opserved the following minor items: 1) Guest Toilet water shut off value leaking water continuously. 2) Guest and main bathroom toilet seats loose. 3) Wall brackets for fan and aircon remotes in second bedroom loose. 5) Tumble dryer door handle appears to have been repaired before and should be replaced - could break at any time.

We loved it!

Thank you so much for hosting us in this beautiful unit! We enjoyed our time at this unit so much we actually booked it twice during our time in Cairns area. They have all of the basic needs met when you arrive with washing powder, dishwasher tabs, salt and pepper etc. On top of that the furniture is wonderful and has usb outlets in the livingroom. The pool was beautiful and big enough to actually swim. The beach was just across the street and a short walk to a swimming net. There is also an awesome park just across the street which is great for a range of children. We would not hesitate to book again!

Comfortable and convenient. A nice quiet area. Well equiped apartment. Great walking tracks and the beach opposite. Loved the pool and the gardens. Good communication with the property managers.

As a long time resident of North Queensland and a highly experienced host in both Cairns and Port Douglas, I have a wealth of local knowledge and I understand exactly what guests need and want to enjoy a truly exceptional stay.

I love being an ambassador for Cairns and I’m always delighted to recommend the best things to see and do, if guests need my help. Because I know the area so well, even if they’re only here for a few days, I’m able to suggest things that will give them a wonderful overall picture of what Far North Queensland has to offer. It’s a pretty easy job considering paradise is right on our doorstep!

I personally take advantage of the stunning natural beauty at every opportunity by going camping, hiking and getting out on the reef and snorkelling. I’ve got a lifelong passion for fitness and well-being so I’m very often out on one of our many picturesque walking trails, like Earl Hill or the Red Arrow, but I also love kicking back and enjoying the simple pleasures of a glass of wine or dinner on the Esplanade or at one of our gorgeous beaches.

My experience as a holiday property owner myself means I understand that little details make a big difference, so communication and attention to detail are my priorities. Things like double checking the cleaning is tip top, turning on lights and/or air-cons, and setting up sofa beds for late arrivals are just a few of the things I do to make sure my guests arrive to a comfortable, welcoming and relaxing home away from home.
