Beach View Home On Cape San Blas

Dune Fine is a beautiful first tier beach home on North Cape San Blas with gorgeous views of both the beach and bay from the 3 levels of decks. It is nicer than other beach rentals and the pictures really don't do it justice. Dune Fine is richly appointed with a 46" flat panel LCD tv in the Living Room, granite counter tops in the gourmet kitchen, hardwood floors throughout the house, and a private in-ground heated pool with integrated kiddie pool and pergola for shade. Pool heat is optional, and an additional fee is required.

Dune Fine is the tallest building in the area allowing you to enjoy unobstructed sunrise and sunset views all year round. Two decks with chairs off the crow's nest are great for relaxing in the sun or under the stars. The wet bar in the crow's nest makes it a great place to enjoy a cold beverage while taking in the panoramic views.

One of the great features of Dune Fine is privacy. Located in a quiet, upscale neighborhood, with a short boardwalk to the beach just steps from the door. Only 3 other homes (1 next door and; 2 in front) share this area of the beach, boardwalk, & dock insuring privacy.

Dune Fine has two master bedrooms, each with a King bed, private bathroom, and doors to the deck. The Gulf side master has a 42" flat panel HDTV. The Bay side master bedroom has a 39" flat panel HDTV. Main floor bedroom has two bunk beds, one with two twins, and one with a twin and double. Queen sleeper sofa in the living room and twin day bed in crow's nest loft. In total, Dune Fine can sleep 12 guests. Stay connected with the free Wireless Internet or relax in the air conditioning while watching cable TV or a movie on one of the 4 flat panel HDTVs. Each TV is equipped with an Amazon Fire TV Stick to stream movies from your personal account.

Bay access via community dock is right across the street which is ideal for launching kayaks or paddle boards. Bay depth near the dock is shallow and varies with the tide. Boat launch just down the street at the State Park.

Gourmet kitchen has beautiful granite counters with five seats at the bar, hardwood floors, and stainless steel appliances. Private outdoor shower with hot and cold water.

This wonderful beach house is located on the north end of Cape San Blas where the bluest waters are found. The Cape is a stretch of land that runs North-South, therefore the beach house sees the most beautiful sunrises over the bay and sunsets over the Gulf all year long. The area is family friendly, beaches are rarely crowded, and it is especially quiet by this community. Cape San Blas has been rated the #1 beach in America. The Cape is 15 minutes to Port St. Joe, and 30 minutes to Apalachicola or Mexico Beach, for your shopping and dining pleasure.

Stormy Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately, we had extremely stormy weather for our stay in this beautiful home. The driving rain kept us from enjoying the beach or the pool. But as I say, you can plan a vacation, but you cannot plan the weather. Dune Fine is a beautiful home just a short walk from the beach. If the sun were shining, I am sure there would be gorgeous views of the beach and the bay from the top floor/widows walk of the house. Dune Fine is furnished nicely, and the kitchen is very well stocked. My one suggestion for the kitchen would be to provide some dry measuring cups and measuring spoons. The house was clean when we arrived, and the linens smelled very fresh. Other than the weather, we did have a few hiccups along the way. The original set of keys would not open the doors, so we had to go back to the office for new keys. The picture of the pool deck shows 6 loungers but there are only 2. We asked multiple times for at least one additional chair for use during our stay, but none were provided. I guess in the end, this really didn't matter due to the weather. The other thing of note, there is no elevator but lots of steps if you have anyone in your party with mobility issues.

Interesting stay at the Beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Day 1 :Upon arrival I noticed a ticket left from pest control for the property and found a bunch of dead roaches throughout the house. The oven did not work to cook dinner and we had to go out to eat after going to the grocery store to be able to cook at home with kids/family. Day 2: We started to discover live roaches in the home. Along with trash and debri left inside the home from previous renters. My kids kept finding "treasures". On the way to the beach for the 1st time my daughter was stung a few times by yellow jackets while walking on the provided beach path. Day 3: 2 door knobs fall off of exterior doors and they are so rusty that they almost cut your hand during operation. I was able to secure the door knobs after purchasing a screw driver from the local store. Day 4: Lightning struck the home 4ft away from where I was resting. Fire and sparks shot out of all the electrical sockets and switches in the crows nest. There was a strong burnt electrical smell. Power was out and the AC no longer worked in the home along with the internet. Several contractors had to make repeat visits to rectify the problem. AC and power were restored by late afternoon. Internet and the Oven were still broken. I was also stung by yellow jackets on the beach path 6 times. Day5: The oven was fixed finally. So we got to use it for the last 2 days. None of the pots and pans are in good condition making food prep and cooking hard. All teflon pans are scratched and have burnt on food from previous renters and bent making them useless. When I called to report these things I was told it is not their responsibility to inspect the property but the previous renters need to report things. If no one reports thing how could they know to fix them. Inspection?? I have never heard of this in the 30+ years of multifamily property management that I have personally. I own and operate apartment complexes. Overall the worst rental experience in Cape San Blas

Perfect house for our family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was perfect for our 6 member family. Great location to get anywhere and easy walk to the trading post and ice cream. Our boys loved the bunk beds and I liked having the other room close to the master where our baby slept. It was so nice that they had a pack n play available!! The pool was amazing. Perfect size and the kids loved the baby pool attached. I loved that it was fenced and I didn’t have to worry about the kids falling in. The distance to the beach is perfect and the views are good. There is one beautiful, but huge house on the beach that blocks the view for the sunset from the deck, but we just walked to the beach each night to see it. The path to the beach is a little awkward as there is a big electrical box right in front of the stairs (and the stairs make it a little hard for carts), but we managed and it’s so nice to be so close. The TVs were a little tricky, but didn’t really matter as we were outside 90% of the time. Overall it’s a wonderful house and we would definitely stay there again.

The beach is Beautiful!The home is in a quiet cul-de-sac and just off it is the boardwalk to the beach. You will have stairs, but we didn’t mind as we like to get our steps in! We found the house to be very well maintained, clean and comfortable.The kitchen is on the third floor and is well-appointed with plenty of dishes, pots and pans and utensils to cook. We also used the gas grill to cook the local seafood.There's a 3-ring binder with instructions for the televisions, coffee pot and other items. They thought of everything!The bedrooms are on the second floor which makes sense when you’re carrying luggage. To our delight the pillows and bed were very comfortable. We had two adults that slept in the bunk beds without any complaints too. The pool area is very nice and well maintained. We found Gary the owner and Coastal Joe’s very responsive, friendly and helpful.Overall, we had both a fun and relaxing time at Dune Fine and Cape San Blas and booked another 5 weeks in 2021! There are gulf and bay views from practically everywhere thanks to its design and wrap-around deck. Everything was sparkling clean and well stocked, however, I would recommend bringing extra toilet paper if you have a large group. I’d recommend this house to anyone and would love to stay here again if we get the chance to.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place has been updated some I believe due to hurricane damage. It is very nice and has beautiful decor, wonderful wrap around porches and awesome 4th story crow’s nest with balconies overlooking beach and the bay. The main floor is on the 3rd level and 2 masters on the second level. Lots of stairs, so you get to really work off all the seafood you eat during your stay, so not for those that aren’t as mobile. The pool was great and we had heated since we stayed over New Year’s. Location is just steps to the beach boardwalk. It does need some mechanical updates (all bathroom exhaust fans were loud and needed to be replaced), dryer took long to dry, and wish they had higher height toilets, but these are minor issues compared to the otherwise great accommodations.
