Milcowie B&B is een slim gerenoveerd huis met ruime afmetingen en alle moderne gemakken. In de wijk Milcowie en gebouwd in 1901 zijn de belangrijkste kenmerken 3 queensize slaapkamers, 1 slaapkamer met een tweepersoonsbed en een uitschuifbed. 2 badkamers inclusief groot bad, 2 toiletten, woonkamer, serre, open keuken-eetkamer.

De boerderij ligt op slechts 2 uur rijden van Adelaide en ligt aan de voet van de Flinders Ranges, de langste keten van bergketens in Zuid-Australië. Het is ideaal gelegen voor gezinnen, stelletjes of groepen die op zoek zijn naar een korte pauze, die verder naar het noorden reizen of de wonderen van het steeds veranderende landschap, de wijngaarden en olijfboomgaarden of de Flinders Ranges willen verkennen.

Peters house is a lovely old farmhouse. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Peter was good to communicate with and the check in/out process was easy. The property is exactly as described. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to enjoy all the breakfast supplies as we were in town for a football carnival. But there was certainly plenty of good quality breakfast supplies provided. It was a shame we didn’t get to enjoy them.

Stay at Minlacowie B&B

We stayed at this B&B over the weekend of our daughter's wedding and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had our little dog with us and she was able to have the run of the place. This was the reason we booked here in the first place and we do not regret it. Highly recommend.

Suited our needs for a getaway

Needing a break, booked into the accommodation as we could bring our dogs. Extremely well stocked for breakfast and all the comforts of home. Lots of personal items in the house if you don’t mind sharing their lives with yours. Communication with Peter and Robyn was great. New area for us but found it limiting with things we like to do, dogs loved it though.

A Great and Quiet Place

We have had a wonderful week here, the house was just as listed and very comfortable. There was milk and other provisions when we arrived and wood for the fire. At night it was dark and quiet - the occasional train was really all we heard! We look forward to coming back to stay again - a perfect country escape.

Lovely farm stay

Peter was a very hospitable host. The house is a lovely old farmhouse with lots of collectables. It is, however, badly in need of refurbishment and a thorough clean. It was also extremely cold in the bedrooms. The location was gorgeous - just south of the Flinders Ranges and 15 minutes from Port Pirie. All I all, a most enjoyable stay.

Exceeded Expectations

A great base to explore the region, Laura, Crystal Brook, Napperby Gorge, Pirie and Port Germain all within easy distance of the house, and offering plenty of options for things to do / visit. Although it's also very easy to spend time at the house with the it's relaxed feel; a game of cricket in the back yard; a short ride on the bikes (provided); or feeding the ducks and chooks. The beds were very comfortable (not usually the case at a lot of properties!) and there is a feeling of warmth and generosity created by the owners.

This was an ideal accommodation to base ourselves for walking the Heysen Trail. B&B had everything we needed. Extremely quiet location set in farming property. Beds were comfy. Breakfast provisions were generous and we enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine. Our host, Peter, was easy to liaise with and responded promptly to our questions.

Fantastic, secluded , relaxing base to explore the Southern Flinders Ranges

Our family of 5 had a terrific and relaxing few days here. Our boys loved fossicking around the farmhouse grounds and with the chickens,collecting fresh eggs each day. Plenty of room in the house and a central location to explore the southern Flinders Ranges. Peter as host is extremely warm, welcoming and easy to contact and communicate with. On arrival the home is amply stocked with breakfast provisions and a nice bottle of wine. Overall a fantastic stay and would recommend.

PEACE & QUIET

A wonderful stay in what felt like my own home. Few, if any, cars along the road hundreds of metres away. Interesting trains rumbling by in the middle distance: it was fascinating watching them go by. And here was I, deep in the comforts of Milcowie B & B. No visitors. PLENTY of breakfast provisions. What a brilliant place just to catch up with yourself and relax. looking forward to my next visit.
