Lovely period home. Large home with three bedrooms, large well-supplied bright kitchen. Giant grassy back yard. No car needed to walk to all Edgartown restaurants, shops, Lighthouse Beach, Sherrif's Meadow nature preserve walk. Friendly, helpful, available landlord.
House is spacious and in a great location.
House is old however and no AC on top floor where the bedrooms are. Kitchen amenities could be updated! E.g knives we old, broken and not sharp.
The listing didn’t mention we had to bring our own sheets for the beds which is very odd to have to do. I have never seen that before and very uncommon to “rent” sheets from the owner. I would change that for sure or make it very clear in the listing
We spent eleven days in September 2021 at this property and overall were very satisfied. It is very well maintained and there were no unpleasant surprises. The house is large and comfortable and well provisioned in terms of paper goods and such. The beds were comfortable if a bit soft for my taste, but that’s just my opinion; not everyone prefers a firmer mattress.
The location is perfect—a short walk to town but on a quiet dead end, in one of the prettiest parts of Edgartown.
When we had a minor plumbing problem, Michelle responded very quickly and it was fixed within an hour or so. I really appreciated this.
We had only one complaint, and it’s not really fair to call it a complaint, since we knew ahead of time — but the lack of air conditioning, even in September, meant that we were uncomfortably warm even in September. Although temps were mostly in the 70s and only once or twice hit 80, the truly absurd humidity on MV rendered the fans of limited use. For a property this expensive, we found this to be a problem.
If you’re not as sensitive to temp and humidity as we are, this rental is an excellent choice.
Lovely home in a great location to town and beaches.
We loved the location of this home and easy walk to town and beaches. We also were very happy with the private backyard for family yard games and the deck for enjoying time outside.
Really enjoyed our 2 week stay at the property. Beautiful house, private yard and great location with walking distance to beach and restaurants. Simple check in /departure and prompt communication from property manager. Highly recommend!
