Reviewer Comments: We've booked this apartment for six weeks.The size and layout of the flat with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two balconies, a large living room with a great kitchenette, and good amenities, made our stay pleasant.The old-fashioned vacuum cleaner which broke down was immediately changed by our contact person, Kate Sutcliffe-Blackhall from Wiseberry.She delivered a new one to our apartment within two days. Kate is generally very courteous and helpful.In any case, the building's location is ideal and central. The Hastings River promenade, the boardwalk, the shops, the restaurants, and Town Beach are all within easy walking distance.

Great location, great communication with Wiseberry

Wiseberry were very accommodating and helped me out with several requests and date changes before my stay. Very easy to contact and resolve problems. The apartment itself was spacious, and in a perfect location! The lock up garage and security was excellent (great if you’re staying by yourself). Overall the apartment was clean- there was some mould build up in the showers (I assume no one had stayed for a while before me), however was easily removed with some mould kill spray. TV/lounge area was excellent and kitchen was fully equipped to cook in. Electric blankets on beds also meant no extra blankets were needed for a comfortable sleep. Overall great place to stay and would recommend!

Unfortunately Port Macquarie did experience a higher number of mould cases than usual this year possibly due to the significant amount of wet weather & flooding we experienced, but I am glad it was easily removed. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had trouble finding access to our condo. Rental company didn't/couldn't tell us there were two elevators. Parking garage access was too steep for our rental car (Toyota Camry) front bumper came off when trying to access garage ended up parking on the street. Bedroom on the right side had dirty carpet. Experienced sewer gas smell from the floor drains had to add water. Pillows provided were a joke should have been left on the airplane. Picked this condo because of the pictures on the internet. I have back problems and the living room picture showed a recliner next to the sofa. The actual living area had a different sofa and the recliner was in a bedroom. Pictures of the unit online need to be updated. Trouble starting oven and couldn't find any documentation.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Arrived in PM & picked up the keys at the designated spot. Everything went well & moved in hassle free. The only problem with the garage is that the space is small & manoeuvring in the basement is quite difficult. We left our car parked out the front of the units while we were there. Like so many others in the units. Unit is extremely well equiped. Better instructions could be left as we had troubles with the oven until we found the manual. Easy straight forward explanations would be great for the oven & cook top - some of us still use gas!!Overall a great stay & would book this unit again. Played golf at Emerald Downs - A lovely reasonably priced course.

Good location, Apartment could be cleaner

We had booked the apartment for 6 weeks. When we entered the apartment, we were immediately impressed by the spaciousness and brightness of the rooms. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two balconies, a large living room with kitchenette. We were also positively impressed by the facilities. However, upon closer inspection, we were shocked. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired. There was a lot of dust in the corners, on the baseboards, and the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned properly. The idea with the washing machine and dryer hidden behind a sliding door is a very good one. But when the doors were opened, the dirt on the door frame was immediately noticeable and flakes of dust fell down. Conclusion: It hasn't been cleaned properly for a long time. The dryer, which is hanging on the wall above the washing machine, should be fixed as soon as possible, otherwise it will soon fall off the wall. The air conditioning unit works well, but is also completely dirty. We don't even want to talk about the vacuum cleaner, it's very dirty. So he couldn't vacuum properly. He is years old. A new purchase is strongly recommended. We informed Wiseberry and showed the contamination in the apartment, but Wiseberry did not feel responsible for it. Wiseberry pointed out that this apartment is only rented out and Wiseberry manages too many other properties and couldn't take care of everything. That surprised us a little.

The lift allows easy access.The property is in a quiet location and is private and comfortable.It is well equipped with necessary items. Lock up undercover garage easily accessed and a bonus.There is an abundance of personal items in the property that could possibly be reduced, but over all a great property, in a great location for a family or two couples.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location central to shop and beach. We love that we can generally walk everywhere within 15 minutes. Plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from in town and well-equipped supermarkets.We stayed here 2 years ago, and whilst the apartment is well equipped and modern, we had noticed nothing had been updated in the last 2 years. The rental has gone up +$500 per week and for this sort of money we expect top quality furnishings. The bed mattresses were average and require updating, and one of the 2 showers leaked very badly and is in need of repair. I would also update the sofa as this is quite uncomfortable and as vinyl is quite sticky in hot weather. Having said all this, the apartment was generally well presented.The owner basically needs so spend about $5000 on furnishings and a bit of maintenance. If this was done, I would definitely recommend to others.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Doubtful if the electric supply was safe. Extension leads plugged into extension leads all over the place. Property is let down as it has obviously been equipped by and for an owner so there is lots of useless equipment and a lack of simple things like adequate glasses and mugs. Generally clean but let down badly by one disgusting bedroom carpet which needs replacing. Fair rental price for a good edge of town location. A serious review of equipment, sorting out the electric points, updated and extended client information and one new carpet would turn this from merely adequate to an excellent rental property.
