About this property
The Old Schoolmaster's Cottage by the Barrington River - remember how to relax
The Old Schoolmaster’s Cottage on the Barrington River is nestled cosily in the picturesque Barrington River Valley. Built in the late 1800's our heritage Cottage is one of the oldest original residences in the Barrington Valley. The history of the Cottage has been enhanced by recent renovations which highlight its old-world charm.
The Cottage enjoys a breathtaking position right on the banks of the Barrington River with an outlook over productive working river flats which change colour with the seasons. Sit on the verandah, listen to sounds of the river and overlook the magnificent Bucketts Mountain Range, all of which add to the unique atmosphere of the Cottage.
Swim or go tubing down the Barrington River which is less than 100 metres away, or sit comfortably near the slow combustion fire in the winter months. All year round, the Cottage provides a unique escape into the heart of the countryside.
