The cottage was clean, beautifully furnished, a fully functional kitchen, close to a number of dining options. The perfect combo for a relaxing country getaway. We enjoyed the town's charm, the antique store and having breakfast while watching the ducks on the lake. We would definitely consider going there again.

The home was very well presented with all comforts. The rooms were suitable for 2 or more couples and the living areas were flexible. Cath was extremely helpful when contacted for any of our needs. We have recommended this place as very suitable for visiting the Bendigo region.

Great Position for touring around

This is the second time my friends and I have stayed in Irishtown. Would recommend it to anyone. The house was clean, plenty of room for 5 ladies to be comfortable. being short opening the gate was a challenge!! Thanks once again

Irishtown- excellent accomodation

A great property for a large family, the air conditioner was also put on for our arrival. 2 seperate lounges gave us space to spread out. Our dogs were well catered for with a fully enclosed backyard, even dog bowls left for them.

Everything was great, no complaints. Only brief issue was a message from Stayz re access instructions which said to push unlock icon bottom RIGHT, when it should have said LEFT, as given by the property manager Cath, when I checked her email.

Great location and wonderful hosts

Right from when we arrived, we felt welcome and comfortable. Everything about this property is lovely. There are several living spaces, which is great for a family. Our dog was safe exploring the courtyards.

Excellent Location & very pet orientated!

This is an excellent property for either a couple or family or group of friends with multiple good sized bedrooms and facilities. Excellent positioning with a 10 minute walk / 2 minute drive to the centre of the city and also with a lovely restaurant and other food options also within 5 minute walk. Excellent fenced and very safe yard fo your dogs and the house itself is very, very comfortable and well set up with every requirement you may have covered including heating, music, multiple family areas and TVs and excellent range of utensils and pantry items. The owner is very friendly and polite and extremely easy to communicate with and gets back to you very quickly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and wanted, especially with the welcome gifts which were a lovely touch and very much appreciated. This was the best "Stayz" property we have stayed in for a number of reasons and I would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone going to Bendigo and we look forward to reusing it in the future.

Sweet house with everything!

Loved the house and location . Six 60 plus ladies stayed and enjoyed all the amenities. Great set up and so many extras included… toiletries, tea towels, toilet paper, firewood etc. cosy and warm. Couldn’t fault it. Happy to stay again.

Irishtown Cottage

This was our 3rd and hopefully not our last stay at Irishtown Cottage. The property is very well appointed and comfortable. It is well located for a walk 'into town' or the other way to Lake Weeroona (and for us, the Bendigo Regional Tennis Centre). One thing we'd highly recommend is a visit to the Garden of the future at White Hills and a meal or a coffee at Omari Cafe in the grounds; we did that twice. We had an excellent meal with friends at the Windermere Hotel in Kangaroo Flat too. 5 stars, 10 out of 10 and 3 hats to Irishtown Cottage - take your pick!😀 Geoff and Eileen

Very comfortable home away from home and convenient location

The house is very well presented and equipped with lots of creature comforts. The hosts were very welcoming and easy to communicate icste with. Location is very central and convenient. Would def recommend.

Irishtown Cottage

Our 2nd stay at Irishtown Cottage and we had a great 4 nights stay. The property was spotless and has every amenity you could wish for; it's why we booked and why we have another visit in a few months. The communication with the owner was spot on and the awaiting 'goodies' were appreciated. 5 stars for every aspect; you can't say more! Geoff and Eileen.

This area of Bendigo is absolutely one of the best as it is not only incredibly beautiful with mature street trees, lovely historic homes and lake Weeroona at your door step, it also has numerous great cafes and pubs as well as housing multiple iconic Bendigo visitor sites.
The Talking tram and depot, Bendigo Woollen Mills, the Chinese Joss House and Chinese museum are all a comfortable walk from the cottage, just to name a few.
You will be thrilled to experience the convenience of the location and literally walk and ride to everything if it takes your fancy or take the car to the many more sites further afield.
Bendigo has incredible history, not only from the goldfields era to modern day but for thousands of years, which you can discover via one of the newly created First Nations Tours.
Bendigo and surrounds is also the first area in Australia to be awarded the prestigious UNESCO listing for Gastronomy - there is much to explore!

Irishtown Cottage is named after the area's name from the Goldrush era, Irishtown, which stretched from St Killian's Catholic Church on McCrae Street right up to White Hills.
It is full of history and legacy including the array of historic homes still standing in the surrounding streets.
Irishtown Cottage is one of the earlier cottages built in the area and whilst it has seen numerous improvements to bring it into the comforts of the 21st century, you can still feel the presence of history etched into the walls and spaces.
Add to that it's eclectic antique pieces and you will experience a totally unique stay, full of comfort, whimsy and beauty.
