We got a Bait and Switch and then COCKROACHES

I will express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent rental experience. We had booked Apt 2502 in the H2 building in Cartagena but at the last minute, the owner relocated us to a lower floor unit. This was deceptive, but worse, it was infested with cockroaches. The presence of cockroaches, a nocturnal pest, became apparent after sunset, rendering our stay unbearable. I documented this issue with pictures and reported it promptly to VRBO and the host. Despite the owner's claim of extermination, the issue persisted, and we were forced to leave. Considering the high season in Cartagena, finding an alternative rental proved challenging. Upon further investigation I saw the host listed this unit under his name and also his property manager’s name and then at the last minute had moved another person to a lower floor unit with cockroaches also. Then, he claims it was a booking error. What a horrible place to stay.

Where do i start. The host is absolutely horrible. I paid for a condo on the 25th floor i was given an apartment on the 17th (room 1703). The TV and the wifi wasn't working. The oven was broke. The condo had roaches. I submitted photos to Vrbo. It is not guest friendly. The host lies to get your money then becomes incredibly hard to reach and communicate with after you check in. I canceled my stay after 2 days and switched to a Hotel. The day i left she responded to my email with the Wifi password. This the type of incompetence you are dealing with. If you're American my advice would be not to book with anything this woman is attached too. Im seeking a full refund from Vrbo. The proerty is beautiful and safe but this host ruined my birthday and shouldnt be on this site. I spoke with the head of security prior to checking out and he told me she's always having problems because she lies to her guest.

Great property and host!

This property was wonderful. It overlooked the Naval base on the bay so when we were at property we were always entertained by soccer matches or watching ships entering and exciting the harbour. The beaches are closed and what is open is a nightmare but the beautiful pool on this property provided aquatic relief. The host was wonderful and so accommodating! This is a safe and secure building with a clean gym. The property is a great location and we walked to everything, but we are athletic types. The staff at the building is also wonderful. I recommend this property. The only reason I didn’t give all 5 stars is because the public beaches near property are closed indefinitely.

Great apartment in a good location

It is very difficult to find any fault with this apartment - everything was as described and the property owner, Rodrigo, could not have been more helpful. The views from the apartment, and from the excellent swimming pool area, are quite magnificent. There is a large supermarket very close to the apartment, and the old town is within walking distance (about 15 minutes) though if you prefer, taxis are plentiful and cheap. If we visit Cartagena again, we will look no further than this apartment.

Wonderful Apartment

This apartment is better than described. Very clean and comfortable with all the amenities you can want to have for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in this beautiful city. The manager is very responsive and communication was great.

The h2 Hyatt Regency building is located next to the Hyatt Hotel in Cartagena, in Bocagrande, in front of the sea and a two-minute walk from the beach. Just a 12-minute walk away, you can discover the Historic Center of Cartagena. It has a gym, Turkish bath, sauna, jacuzzi, security and 24-hour reception. This building is brand new and has 28 floors with 120 apartments in total.

Our apartments are very cozy and suitable for resting. They have WiFi, satellite TV, kitchen equipment, private bathroom and a privileged location away from the noise of common areas. The apartment is located on a high floor with views of the bay of Cartagena and the city. They have a large terrace of 12 m2, which allows you to enjoy a majestic view.
