Four modern private Villas managed by its owners with a passion to make your stay memorable. Our Villas has been individually design with a minimalist concept, details that may be tiny but thoughtful with a luxury feel, finding a balance between private and shared spaces, allowing you to see and enjoy nature from your own private Villa.

At Villas Kalei we believe in contributing to preserve the environment, supporting our community, nature and wildlife. Villas Kalei is committed to minimizing our impact on the planet, we do it by using environmentally-friendly products, organic soap, shampoo and conditioner hand made in Costa Rica, non-toxic cleaning supplies. We promote water, power conservation and recycling.

To Book entire property please send us an email for quote. Property consists in 4 separate Villas that sleeps 4 guests per Villa with private bathroom on each Villa and outdoor showers. The 4 Villas together accomodate a total of 16 guests, community kitchen, pool, 3 minutes drive to Playa Grande Beach.

Villas Kalei has join the 1% Playa Grande Community Fund. Which will be donating 1% of your stay to the APGS - Asociación Playa Grande Sostenible. Villas Kalei is committed to a more sustainable future and Playa Grande’s long term environmental and social wellbeing. Amazing stay

We loved our stay with our family. Wonderful property and area. Jeisha and Marcos are as good as you could ask for in owners. The property also attracts very welcoming people given the community setup (shared kitchen, pool, etc.). Playa Grande is also a great town and beach. If you want a bit calmer than Tamarindo, but want enough to do this is a great spot. We will try to return to Villas Kalei for sure.

The compliments about this property, as well as Marcos & Jeisha, are endless. We wanted to thank them for having such a beautiful place for us to stay. The accommodations are no less than 5 stars…this property is on par with a stay at a Rosewood Hotel & Resort.

One of my Fav places ever!

Villa Kai was one of my favorite stays ever. Beautiful, quiet, lush and green (even in the dry season). I would get up every morning to make coffee and listen to the birds and monkeys. Gorgeous and private casitas ..... only a mile from the beach. Jeisha and Marcos are excellent hosts. Loved it.

The highlight of our stay in Costa Rica

Every once awhile you come across a truly exceptional property during your travels. For us, this was one of those times. Villas Kalei are surrounded by natural beauty inside and out. Every detail of the villas, garden, pool, and shared areas are thoughtful and beautiful. And the owners, Jeisha & Marcos, were such gracious hosts with their time and recommendations. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Playa Grande. Simply, outstanding!

Beautiful

What can we say about Villas Kalie? Simply stunning. It can be a challenging drive to get there, but once you do, wow. Jeisha and Marcus are there to greet you on arrival and show you around this beautiful oasis. Both are very welcoming and are obviously very proud of what they have made here. The villas are clean and spacious and the showers, both indoor and outdoor, are perfect after a day at the nearby beach or sitting by the pool. The nearby brewery has good, though a limited, beer selection and we can highly recommend the Rip Jack Inn near the beach, for breakfast and dinner. Aside from that, the other restraunts in the local area all serve excellent food using fresh local ingredients.Keep an eye or an ear out for the local howler monkeys who sound a lot bigger then they really are.If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is definitely the place to go. Pura Vida!!!

Peaceful and tranquil

Our stay at Villa Kalei was absolutely perfect. The attention to detail across the grounds and inside our villa was on point; it is obvious that Jeisha and Marcos take great pride in their property. My husband and I were personally welcomed when we arrived and were given all the details and information we needed to be comfortable throughout our stay. Inside the villa you'll find everything you need (pool towels, beach towels, a mini fridge, local coffee), the soaps and shampoos are local and were so lovely! The shared kitchen is fully stocked if you want to cook your own food... we didn't, but next time we definitely will! This was our first trip to Costa Rica, and we couldn't have picked a better location to stay. Our stay of 5 nights here was too short, and I am already missing the peaceful days and evenings spent here. Thank you so much for making us feel at home, we can't wait to visit again.

Unbelievably beautiful! Like a beautiful oasis. If I come back to Costa Rica, this is where I will stay! The room was awesome, the grounds were gorgeous and the infinity pool was great. Not enough words to describe how beautiful this place is.
