We are back and better than ever. Newly renovated retreat with full amenities.

Set on 1.5 acres, the cabin is located in a secluded and private area of Red Hill with views across Port Phillip Bay and Arthurs Seat. It is ideally located for access to the range of amazing wineries and restaurants in the area as well as the various cherry and strawberry farms. It has been decorated in a charming French provincial style with enough space for a family to enjoy a weekend getaway or a week long stay. It also has a lovely large deck to enjoy the views of Port Phillip Bay and Arthurs Seat while having morning coffee or breakfast. Better still why not enjoy a glass of Pinot while watching the sunset. It is set on a large allotment with enough space for children to run around and play. The Cabin shares the garden with the main house and the entire property is secured by 1 metre high fencing. It has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, the second with a set of bunks, and a single bed set up as a day bed. The cabin is ideal for a family with up to 3 children or up to 4 adults. There is one bathroom, a living and dining area as well as a newly added fully equipped kitchen. There is also a microwave, kettle and Nespresso machine available. It is equipped with flat screen TV, Freeview, Netflix access and WiFi.

Away from the madding crowd yet still close to good shops/restaurants, The Cabin is perched on a ridge in a cool, green patch of bush, with a lovely garden terrace overlooking sweeping views to the ocean. Divine.

Tranquil Retreat

The cabin was a perfect relaxing retreat to unwind. Located within close proximity to all of the amazing locations Red Hill has to offer. The property is peaceful, relaxing and hosts extremely friendly & accomodating. Highly recommend & would love to revisit in the future.

5 star host with service to match

From the moment I booked, Gilda was incredibly helpful in ensuring my partners and I engagement weekend was one to remember. From advice on local sites and wineries to visit, to helping me secure last minute reservations at the finest dining places in the area, quite simply Gilda is the very best host I’ve come across in all my time travelling. The property itself was spacious with beautiful gardens, and the view of the bay was spectacular. Would love to be back, and couldn’t recommend The Cottage highly enough.

Cost Cabin

Cute cottage overlooking great view. We stayed with the family of three including two adults and a toddler and a dog. The property owners have a super friendly dog, keep that In mind if you are also looking to bring your pooch. There is no fencing around the cabin and property is open . Thanks for your hospitality!

Absolute perfection!!

Gilda and John were so accommodating, friendly and relaxed. The cabin was just stunning with everything you could ask for, comfort, smashing view and close to wineries. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Great location, wonderful views

We had a very comfortable stay at the Cabin. It’s ideally located for visiting wineries and restaurants, and beaches. The cabin is self-contained and detached, but located in the vicinity of the hosts’ home, and our hosts were very hospitable and made us feel comfortable about sharing their area. They also kindly fished out some belongings we left behind, of both mine and my husband’s.

Perfect escape from the city

Gilda’s place is unreal. Gorgeous views, super tranquil and beautifully decked out. The photos don’t do it justice. We had a truly amazing stay and Gilda was lovely to deal with.

Perfect little cabin in beautiful Red Hill

The cabin was perfect. It is nestled away behind the main house but still had amazing view. Gilda was great host and very helpful. Good quality linen and towels plus coffee machine and pods made the stay even better. We were also lucky enough to see a Koala up in the tree near the cabin. It’s situated close to all the wineries and yet still close to Dromana beach so we will definitely stay again.

beautiful property

we really enjoyed our stay at 'the cabin'. We had gone to red hill for a wedding at a local vineyard, the location was perfect for us to get to and from the wedding. but we were close to lots of other beautiful places to see in the peninsula. it was beautiful at the end of each day to come back to 'the cabin' and relax on the deck watching the sunset and looking at the beautiful gardens around the property. Thankyou Gilda for a beautiful stay

Cosy and spectacular views!

We planned an impromptu trip to the peninsula and were looking for any accommodation during the peak period and not too fussed about what we could get. As a family of 6, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the cabin was cosy, clean, located on a beautiful property and had the most amazing views.....such a great find! My older and younger kids were comfortable (even in the 42 degree heat) and enjoyed the delightful interior. A very easy drive to all the sights and restaurants we wanted to visit. The owner had great recommendations of places to eat out, is prompt in responding to any queries but still gave us enough privacy for our visit. Highly recommend this place and would love to have stayed longer!

Great choice for Red Hill

This was a lovely place to stay in Red Hill. The cabin was immaculate and tastefully decorated. It had a lovely water view. The cabin is on the owner's property, behind their garage. We were initially concerned about privacy however this wasn't an issue at all. The owner was pleasant to deal with and completely kept out of our way. I'd recommend this as a good place to stay, well positioned in the middle of the wine and restaurant region.

Just brilliant

This property is exceptional. It is a well kitted out cabin with fantastic views and close to wineries and eateries in the area. We (two couples) stayed for three nights and it couldn't have been more comfortable. While there are places within walking distance you'll need a car to enjoy the area properly. The cabin is beside the main house and there are great lawns and gardens around where you can relax of an evening. I would strongly recommend it. If you are staying (and unfamiliar with the area) I would also recommend talking to the property owner about some recommendations for the area - we were given advice on wineries and restaurants and they were all spot on.

The best stay so far in Redhill

My husband and I visit Redhill regularly and like to stay at different properties, we both agree that our stay at the Cabin was the best accommodation so far. The Cabin is perfect for a winter stay, with the fire and ambiance of the cottage making for a relaxing stay. The view over the bay is amazing and would be magnificent during a summer visit. Gilda is also very helpful with all requirements and suggestions as to what to see and do in Redhill. Don't be deterred by the $1000 bond, this is transferred back immediately after your visit.
