About Doug Thomas

I have traveled to Sarasota for the last 30+ years to vacation and visit my mother, who relocated to Florida in 1981. I currently live in Chesterfield, VA, which is just outside Richmond. I enjoy travel, playing golf, and spending time on the beach. I am originally from the New York Metro area and moved to the Richmond area in the late 70's to attend college.

Doug Thomas purchased this villa in 2002

Why Doug Thomas chose Sarasota

I purchased this villa for my mom to live in, which she did for 13 years. She has moved down the road to a home for seniors, and rather than sell the property, I decided to keep it, fix it up, and rent it for part of the year and use it myself when I travel from my home in Virginia to visit my mom.

What makes this villa unique

This villa is located in an area that provides easy access to all of Sarasota's offerings, including the museums, restaurants, shopping and Siesta Key's famous white sandy beach, named best in the U.S.
