No roads - just house, sand, & sea.

Suitable for family or friends wanting a beautiful space.
Rate is based on a maximum of 8 guests.
6 adult guests in three bedrooms + 2 x children (only) in bunk room *bunk is not suitable for big kids or adults

Bond is required for all bookings.

We welcome you to our hidden oasis on Agnes Water beach.
Escape & keep the secret all to yourself.

Enjoy privacy & tranquility.

Shutters is the whole package, and it is a 5 min beach walk into town

Shutters is for those who want peace, privacy, & quiet nights.

We have whales passing, turtles nesting, Great Barrier Reef, bush walks, national parks, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, surfing, a wonderful headland, unbelievable sunrise, sunsets, fabulous birdlife, wallabies, all right on your doorstep.

It is a private gated estate which has on-site body corporate managers.
We aim to ensure your stay is enjoyable and encourage a peaceful environment for our special guests.
Please make sure that Shutters is suitable for your group.

Shutters is a wonderful place to stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Shutters. The house is beautifully designed. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for cooking. We really appreciated the sharp knives, the array of glassware and plates and especially the proper espresso machine. To top it off Kiki was a wonderful host! We would highly recommend this beautiful place.

Peace and beauty

Shutters was very interesting architecturally. The views from every room connecting you to nature. It is set in an amazing spot with the sea directly accessed from the property. The pool was wonderful also. It was lovely to go to sleep with the sounds of the waves. Our hosts were SO helpful !

Pure Peace

What an amazing property. We had been told that there wasn’t a lot to do in Seventeen Seventy, but it’s a good mix of just enough (bars, restaurant, local walks, beach) and then going “home” to relax in this stunning beach house. Ange greeted us on our first day, showed us all we needed to know and then drifted to the background. He was polite, eager to make sure we knew where everything was and where we could take our 7 and 8 year old boys. The property is well designed, quiet and you sam year nothing but waves at night. We will definitely go back for a longer break and book in this property again. Thank you Ange and Kiki x

Amazing holiday house and location

Thank you Ange and Kiki for a wonderful getaway in your beautiful home. The house was extremely well appointed and immaculately clean, and we immediately felt at home. The location was also fantastic with the beach at our doorstep and other amenities close by. We are already planning our return stay and highly recommend it.
