Hideaway by the Sea

Seacastles is a unique property offering beach, pool, bar and restaurant ($) while being in a beautiful unit as your hub to explore the island, work or be near to airport.
This studio offers all the comforts of home including full custom made kitchen with all appliances, great working AC, a ceiling fan, big screen TV with free Netflix.
Great working WIFI, a super comfortable queen size bed, cloths washer and drying area, and 2 balconies for chilling. The studio is tastefully decorated with your comfort in mind. The studio is on the 3rd floor and has no elevator.
Seacastles is conveniently located outside the hustle and bustle offering tranquility and a great vibe but near enough to all the action should you need some excitement. A car is recommened as not much with in walking distance. Also very close to some pretty neat local attractions including Rosehall Great House, Luminous Lagoon and 3 golf courses.
The grounds offer a The Rose Bar where you can socialize and on Fridays it offers jerk chicken which is simply the best.
The restaurant offers a full menu and can deliver to your room at a fee.
This space is great for all travelers whether it be work or pleasure!
Seacastles is 10 minutes to the airport, 15 minutes to the famous hip strip and around 7 minutes to Whittier Village where you will find many restaurants, 3 grocery stores, cloths stores, souvenirs shops, a clinic, gambling establishment and a couple bars. The whole area is very safe and you will interact with other travelers as well as locals.
Seacastles is an economical home base for all excursions offering 24/7 security, independence and a style of its own. We offer at excellent pricing for airport pick up, in room chef service, grocery shopping pre arrival, as well as set up excursions geared to you... let us know what you require. Our rates are very reasonable.
The beach on site is big, natural and unattended. It is accessed by walking down stairs about 6 flights. I provide 2 lawn chairs and beach towels for your convenience.

4 Star stay at a great rate

Check in was super easy and the manager is AMAZING!! Very accurate listing in a great location. Pool was super clean with easy beach access. Dining options on premises if so desired. Will definitely be staying here again.

Great for 2 people max!

The host is simply amazing, communicate well and try to help as much as possible. We stayed with our 4 year old, was tough with 3 people. Our family is also very tall. But 1-2 people it’s perfect! The internet speed is also the best I’ve ever experienced in Jamaica!!!

A great place to stay in Jamaica. This place provides everything to make your stay Jamazing. From the unexpected welcoming Jamacian fare, the onsite jerk chicken, to the extra drink fridge on the balcony level....We loved staying at this property!! One of the cleanest owner/rentals I have stayed at, on the Island or back in the States. Definitely our new go to when flying into MoBay (unless someone else finds out about this gem).

Quiet and Comfortable

This is a good choice for persons who prefer peace and quiet over crowded resorts. We enjoyed the pool and the beach. The description of the property was accurate in that repairs are needed. However, that did not detract from the natural beauty of the surroundings. There is a bar and restaurant if you choose not to leave the property. The host was very nice and responsive. My husband and I enjoyed our stay!

Perfect out of the way place!

It was clean, everything worked great, and was just the perfect getaway for a couple days in Jamaica! The beach is basically private with clear water. There is a huge pool. We had the best jerk chicken ever on that Friday evening. Sherri makes sure that all your needs are met!

Vacation in paradise

The condo was better than expected. The grounds and campus were immaculate. The condo was cozy and welcoming. We really appreciated how everything was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the pool and the beach, we give Seacastles two thumbs up. Well worth the money, we would recommend to just about anyone.

Last minute trip to Montego Bay. Place was very clean, comfortable and affordable. Host was willing to meet us to show us around. We didn't have time to use the pool or the beach but would have enjoyed both these amenities if the stay was longer. Enjoyed the local Jamaican complimentary snacks too. We will be back.

AMAZING AND QUIET STAY

This place is being renovated so if you like new it's not for you. It was amazing we had the best hosts and everyone on the property was nice and helpful all the time. The beach is beautiful and natural which makes it better than resort beaches. Very quiet and peaceful. I engaged to my gf in this vacation and it went absolutely perfect. AMAZING Vacation!

My husband found this little treasure when searching for the perfect place for us to stay in Jamaica, and it was everything we had hoped it would be! Our charming little studio had everything we needed, and Sherri was an awesome and super-helpful host! We loved so many aspects of the entire property including the beautiful ocean views and the old-world charm, but our favorite was snorkeling on the coral reef right below the resort! We loved our sun-filled vacation in Jamaica and look forward to coming back soon! :)

Perfect getaway in heaven

Where do I start with Sherri! She is such a wonderful host- super responsive and involved throughout the process- takes the time to explain and elaborate on what you can expect with your stay and never hesitates to offer advise on how to make the best of your trip. The property is great and u can’t find anything better for the rate.. the beaches are pristine and the area is great- felt safe and immersed in the island the whole stay! Sherri is an exceptional host! Top notch! She went above and beyond to make sure my experiences at Seacastles and Montego Bay was special and memorable. The apartment was awesome, had so many amenities and was very comfortable and clean. The food at Queen Gee’s, the restaurant on site was delicious and prepared masterfully. I really wanted something close to the airport but peaceful and this location was perfect! Also, the property is so beautiful and picturesque. Needless to say, I totally enjoyed my short stay. My next trip to Montego Bay will definitely be here!

Relaxing Stay

From our initial scheduling and an additional day added later there was exceptional communication with Sherri. We felt welcomed. The apartment was just what we were looking for, small, clean and pretty much had everything that we needed, and then some. It is located on the third floor with an additional climb to the loft. I enjoyed the loft area for its privacy and outside quiet time. The buildings are in different stages of needing maintenance upgrades but the landscaping was maintained very well. We loved the access to the beach area and look forward to staying again during better coastal weather conditions. Overall we enjoyed Sherri's hospitable apartment and her welcoming personality. We look forward to staying again in the near future.

My 5 day four night Stay at Sandcastle

I came here to get away so I can complete a book that I'm writing. My host picked me up at the airport. We made a stop at the grocery store, I picked up a few items. She pretty much told me everything I needed to know about my stay. What's available to me on the grounds,what's available to me beyond the grounds and I really thought that that was that was cool. She was amazing, like a good friend, her place has everything for the beach, like towels and chair. This space was open, she calls it a studio, but it was a duplex for me. I had a roof top spot with table and chair and lounge chair to sun up. The beach was amazing and natural. The grounds was picture perfect, cool sea breeze and I enjoy the small eatery there. I did not need to leave for anything. I really appreciate the experience and I will come back very soon!

5000 Steps from Beach

First of all, we were impressed with the updated apartment that Sherri offered. Quite a small shower but we made due. Very nice for the price. The apartment was very nice and clean and had everything we needed for a 2 night stop over stay. Not so impressed with the property and beach. We spent the day at their beach and made due with the make shift benches and tables that were down there. Good thing Sherri supplied a couple fold up chairs. The biggest fallback was (it seemed like 5000 steps) many steps back up from the beach. I guess I'm really out of shape. The property could look so much better with a lot of white paint and a lot of bleach. They should just tear down all structures that are falling apart. The pool was dirty and I didn't see anyone cleaning it. That's where I would have been but I don't like to swim in dirty pools. There was a lot of traffic noise too. The on property restaurant was just ok and quite expensive. 95.00 for lunch for 4 people. I wouldn't want to stay there for more than a night or 2.

Hi Kimberly! Thank you for choosing my accommodation. I really enjoyed meeting and hosting you both. I'm sorry you rated it so low. I was worried about that when you mentioned you are accustomed to Sandals. The property is unique and not for everyone. I must point out the beach is a public unmanned beach and I say precisely that in the ad. It is not 5000 steps and not our property. It is however free and very natural and beautiful. The pool was in disarray because we have under gone back to back storms. The property is indeed in need of paint but that is why you are not paying 200 to 300 a night. Seacastles is unique and not for everyone. I'm sorry you did not love it like so many others.

Since that trip I have traveled extensively across the whole Island meeting the most amazing people in almost all the parishes, having the most exciting adventures. All this resulted in me purchasing a Studio apartment located on a very unique historical property with a beautiful beach which I then remodeled contracting and meeting many many more beautiful native souls who taught me all about the true Jamaica. It is my hope that I can assist you to create your own memories and have you come to love this country I love with all its amazing unique people, culture and cuisine.
Me and my team of friends can provide you with as little or as much as YOU want but my main focus is that you do it safely and economically. Their are so many honest good people in Jamaica and I have had the privilege of meeting so many who want to share it and build it respectfully.

Why they chose this property

This property is unique because it comes with the history of Jamaica. It was the Jewel of Jamaica being one of the great firsts. All nationals know the name and there is no real address for it... all people just know it... you say Seacastles and they will know how to get there. Now it is being rebuilt to its original glory. I want to be apart of this history and it is my pleasure and privilege to share that with you. While Seacastles is not a 5 star property the unit is beautiful and you will be pleased.
