We suggest you do not rent this property. Given that this was one of the most expensive rentals in Long Beach we expected a well maintained and above overage accommodation. Unfortunately this was not the case. On arrival we found the property was undergoing renovation with issues with the electrical system, which effected the whole house, and the laundry in pieces and unusable. The owner, Mr Tang had the opportunity to inform us of these issues in the eMail he sent giving us directions to access the property, but he did not. We rang Mr Tang who told us that he knew of the issues which were causing the circuit breakers to continually trip. Apparently the electrician had not completed the work previously, but he did not inform us of this in the eMail. The cleanliness of the house was unacceptable as the oven was filthy with dirty pans left inside and we needed to scrub the BBQ of many layers of built up grease and dirt before we could use it. There were many bottles of opened food left in the fridge door. Previous clients had complained of mildew however we did not find this but the house does have a musty smell throughout because most of the windows are sealed shut. Ironically, the front dining room window could not be shut. The linen, although clean, looked like grandma's old left overs. Dealing with Mr Tang was not pleasant as he stopped answering my calls and was quite surprised when my partner rang on a different number and he thought it was another client. When we asked for a reduction in rates because of the condition of the property, he informed us he could not because of the fires and Covid, this was quite inappropriate. The owner eventually returned us the cleaning fee, which is ironic considering the scrubbing we had to do to use the equipment. The house it tired and in obvious need of completing the renovation and is certainly not worth the current nightly rate. This is not a 5 star property.
