Cooks Hill Parkside is a calm, light-filled, architect-designed two-bedroom loft in one of Newcastle’s most walkable neighbourhoods. Designed for comfort and longer stays, the apartment features open-plan living, quality finishes and a private courtyard that captures the morning sun.

Both bedrooms offer queen beds with premium Posturepedic mattresses and built-in wardrobes. The bathroom includes heated floor tiles, and ducted air-conditioning provides year-round comfort throughout the apartment.

Our host Brooke was absolutely lovely. The apartment was sooo clean, lots of lovely little touches. She has thought of everything that you could need. Quality linen, kitchen ware. So cost & private yet so close to everything. I almost didn’t want to write a review so we could keep it our own secret little place to stay! Highly recommend.

Wonderful place

Loved staying at Brooke and Grant’s property. Modern space and appliances made the stay very comfortable. Check in was super easy and Brooke and Grant were accomodating with extra requests. Definitely recommend this property to everyone.

Highly recommend!

My partner and I stayed here with our 3yo and 6yo. It is in such a beautiful, convenient location. Lots of great flat walks first thing in the morning with the pram. Brooke and her family were so responsive and accommodating. Check in was super easy. Everything was clean and comfortable. Fun park just across the road for the kids. Sad to have to leave!

The apartment is beautiful and has everything you need with a lot of thoughtful little extras. Truly a home from home. Brooke and Grant are lovely , kind and considerate hosts. I was alone one day and they offered to take me shopping and to the beach with them.

It is well situated , it seems like a lot of thought has gone into this place : lots of thoughtful things provided. The place is very comfortable, love the off street parking ( for not big vehicles though ) full size fridge, washer & dryer , can use your own Netflix account , etc. Would certainly recommend this accommodation.

The apartment was very clean and neat and had everything we needed for a 5 day stay. Lots of little touches (like cereal, milk & fresh flowers) which was a lovely surprise on arrival. The host was very quick to respond to questions and reached out to make sure we had checked in ok. Checking in and out was simple, and having secure onsite parking was excellent. Eine wirklich sehr schöne, feine und sehr saubere Unterkunft. Ich wurde sehr nett von der Vermieterin empfangen. Nach einer langen Anreise habe ich mich sofort wohlgefühlt. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind fußläufig sehr gut erreichbar. Bis zu Strand sind es zu Fuß auch nur 10 Minuten. Ich würde dort jederzeit wieder mieten. Ich hatte eine tolle Zeit.

We absolutely love our stay in Cooks Hill thanks to Brooke and Grant and the beautiful space they have created! This is our second time visiting and it was just as delightful as the first! The apartment is situated in a beautiful neighbourhood, with a picturesque walk to Darby St cafes where we went each morning for breakfast! We also walked up to Bar Beach and enjoyed looking at the other beautiful houses along the way! It is so nice to come back to a quiet, relaxing space with all the homey touches that make your stay just perfect! Thank you so much Brooke + Grant! We can’t wait to come back!!

Wonderful stay

We arrived at the property quite tired after travelling all day. We we’re pleasantly surprised. There was a wonderful attention to detail. Milk, cereal, honey and of course tea and coffee were provided which meant we didn’t have to immediately go out shopping for essentials. Lots of natural light and a feeling of being in a tree house as the living area is upstairs with lots of windows all around. The suburb is gorgeous with lots of restaurants and close to the sea. Highly recommend.

The best of Newcastle

Cozy, compact and private. A fantastic modern apartment in a truly fantastic part of Newcastle. Host Brooke has the place set up like a boutique hotel… but with the addition of a great kitchenette and laundry downstairs. Highly recommend.

Fab weekend jolly holiday!

My friend & I wanted to go for a little weekend trip somewhere different & decided on Newcastle, but we wanted somewhere local, easy to get to beaches, restaurants, bars & fun, along with being a really comfortable place to wash, rest & play! I have to say this property was by far one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Incredibly comfortable, clean, modern - it was great all round! I would definitely recommend to everyone!

Amazing location and gorgeous loft

Myself and three friends rented this property after seeing the wonderful photos online and we were not disappointed! It was clean, beautifully decorated and the location was everything you could ask for in a holiday rental - close to the shops, cafes and of course, the beach! Peaceful, convenient and indulgent beach getaway

Our family of four loved this property - amazing location for beach walks and runs as well as walking distance to Darby street boutiques and cafes.
