This property was very dirty. Had to go out and buy cleaners and a mop to clean up the place. Had a very bad musty smell when we walk in the door. No washer or dryer. It could use some updating too. Didn’t have no other place to stay so we had to stay in the house. It was in a good location and very close to my family. Would I stay again probably not.

Quiet Cabin in the woods, great back deck

The location is calming and beautiful, surrounded by trees with the deck looking out over a steep hill with a stream at the bottom. We spent wonderful days sitting on that deck. Thank you.The house smelled a little musty when we arrived, which cleared after opening the windows.

cleaning before you arrive

unit was not cleaned. Outdoor area was not clean. Deck was not cleaned. Front was not cleaned. Inside stove was not clean under stove was not clean. Some appliances were not cleaned as far as pots and pans front bathroom floor was not clean. Furniture is hard are short very short and small would not stay here again. Did get quick response from owner who would notify client cleaning crew of mistakes errors some use soap in the shower no dish supplies had to get my own soap and sponge. No washcloths for people just washcloths left for the kitchen, dirty kitchen towel and no washer dryer and no dishwasher so, go on vacation and do your own work. Certainly won’t be there again.

Lovely, super clean home

This lovely home was a perfect spot for spending a week in the Catskills with a friend and our dogs. The place was charming, super clean, and true to the description, and the layout gave each of us some privacy, which we appreciated. The host was easy to work with and the area is quiet, serene and peaceful. It was a little hard to find initially, but once we figured that out, everything was perfect. We plan to book again next year. Highly recommended!

Just returned from a 3 night stay - WE LOVED IT! Didn't know what to expect but it was everything we wanted plus more. A little (not so little) house tucked away in the woods for some much needed peace and quiet. A little hard to find but once you got it it was super simple. Driveway a little steep but I had no issues nor did my niece with a Maxima. There was 8 of us and let me tell you the house is more spacious then it looks. We were all very comfortable. We even had a couple who was staying elsewhere visit us daily and all 10 of us watched TV in the living room, we all sat on the deck and we all ate in the kitchen..very comfortably! (I did bring extra folding chairs) Kitchen is huge and had everything I needed to cook Break, Lunch and Dinner. Home was super clean and it even had a Water cooler with an extra bottle! (we saved so much $$ eating at home). If your looking to get away with the family or even 3 couples I would highly recommend staying here. it's so much more personal then staying at one of the motels on 145. Bring a smores kit for the fire pit! Big bonus Zoom Flume is literally 2 min away! it's not just for kids all the adults had a great time in the water. There is a general store but it closes early. Hardings Supermarket is only 15 min away and it was a quick ride. The owner reached out night before check in and during to make sure was all ok. Great place and owner. If your reading this and thinking about booking just do it! You won't regret it.

Hikers Delight

It is a great location with a creek down the hill. The fire pit and the porch are where we spent most of our time when we were at the house. Used the BBQ almost every night and ate outside on the porch just enjoying the peace & quiet. Saw deer almost every evening. Went hiking nearby at Elm Ridge Wild Forest that has numerous trails. Gene our contact was very upfront, accommodating and responded rather quickly to our inquiries. Left there feeling very relaxed. Thank you Gene!!!

Soon as we got there we noticed the driveway was steep and narrow very unsafe the grass was very high and uncut weeds weight high. No water pressure in the shower. The deck filthy so was the grill. It was not a gas grill as advertised. The fridge leak to the point there was a puddle we had to keep cleaning up. The only good thing was the house was very clean on the inside and it very private

Lovely little cottage

We had everything we needed! Lots of space, cozy place to stay, and good enough wifi to get our work done! The pups loved sniffing around and just watching the Brook from the patio. Thank you for a worry free stay!

Family getaway

We came to get away from the city and we’re very happy with the space! Rustic cabin with AC, TV and beautiful scenery! Our kids played in the nearby creek, we took the kayaks out to Colgate lake and enjoyed the fire pit and grill.

Very Nice Home

The home was very nice and had everything we could possibly need, including bottle water. The property actually felt more spacious than the listing seemed. The only negative was that there was no outside lighting, so it was impossible to see when we first arrived. It shares a driveway with another home and we could only see the other home. We called the owner and they answered quickly and kindly explained that it was down the hill...No big deal. Overall, I thought the home was a very good value.
