Hale Maluhia is a large, fully equipped condominium/studio unit fronting on the Prince Golf Course (currently not in use, so it's like a huge back yard) and a walking path down to Anini Beach. It has a large, well equipped kitchenette, a Queen size bed, Wi-Fi, HDTV, a full bath, beach towels, beach mats, beach chairs and a portable cooler. The lanai is perfect for stargazing or just enjoying some quiet outdoor reading. There's reserved parking, a great pool area with a communal barbeque and shopping and restaurants are just minutes away. Princeville at Hanalei's location is conveniently close to Kilauea, Hanalei and the rest of Kauai's North Shore's numerous beaches and features. Given it's size, location and amenities, Hale Maluhia is by far Princeville's best bargain. E komo mai.

I traveled much of the world and found myself on Kauai in 1979. I knew the minute I arrived that I was home. I continued to vacation on Kauai yearly and finally decided to move to Kauai full time in 1986. I moved to the mainland in 2010 to explore the U.S., but Kauai stayed on my mind and in 2015 came "home".

I looked at the numerous options available and decided that at this stage in my life a condo would be the best thing for me. Paniolo offers a great location and amenities such as an on-site pool, a trail down to Anini Beach and the convenience of being just minutes away from world class beaches, numerous outdoor activities, shopping, a library and park.

What makes this condo unique

The quiet location and proximity to the North Shores numerous wonderful beaches, shopping, restaurants and outdoor activities offers something for everyone. I recently added a large kitchenette, refurbished the bathroom and added a privacy wall to separate the sleeping area from the dining and entertainment areas. I've tried hard to provide everything you'll need to have a safe and enjoyable getaway. It's the perfect getaway for either a single or couple. E Komi Mai!

The Perfect Kauai Getaway!

Perfect little condo for a week

We love this place! This was our first time in the B unit, and we found it to be perfect for everything we needed for a week stay. The kitchenette area is bigger than most we've seen in similar size units, allowing for more fridge storage and easy clean up with a big sink and ample counter space. We love this location as we can go several days without driving- we can get coffee, items for dinner and walk to several beautiful beaches right from the condo. We will surely be back and love both the A and B units. Thanks Rick for a wonderful, relaxing stay on this beautiful island!

Where do you live?

Great, Affordable Location for our Last-Minute Trip!

Great location, near so many things to do in Kauai! We made arrangements with less then 2 week's notice, a first for us, and this was one of the only places available at the time. Lucky for us, because it was at least HALF the price of anything else available at such late notice. I would recommend this apartment even if I wasn't looking last-minute! Well appointed and spacious, this space was everything we needed. The photos really don't do the space justice.

Apartment came with ALL the amenities you could really imagine! So many condiments/cooking items, you really do need to stop by the apartment before going to the close grocery store: Foodland. We saved at least $30 from not having to rent our own snorkels and beach chairs, which was really nice.

The apartment has plenty of fans available to keep you cool at night. We had a bit of rain during our stay, "wettest place on earth," so we enjoyed the extensive cable tv options available.

Do yourself a favor and go for happy hour at the St. Regis down the road right before sunset :) They have free valet parking and the bar has a beautiful view of the sunset!!!

Princeville delight!

We had a wonderful stay in our Princeville condo. The deck view overlooking an golf course was relaxing and the Kaua'i chickens, amusing. The condo is well-appointed, comfortable and conveniently located on the north shore. We enjoyed the pool. The winter weather was rainy, but we were able to see a wall of waterfalls and fit in a helicopter ride! During two calm, sunny days, we could snorkel the Tunnels on the north shore! Lucky. Of course the South shore has great winter swimming and the Waimea Canyon is breathtaking.

As or better than advertised.

Clean and well kept. Convenient. Reasonable price. Great pool. Bed was fine. Everything we needed. Rick was accessible and helpful. Read carefully what is available and supplied online -- we stopped at store late at night but when we arrived realized we purchased some things that were already supplied by landlord.

We came from airport when pitch dark and did not watch map and missed turn off main highway which is only 2 miles or less from unit. Rick was accessible and helped guide us back by phone.

No complaints.

Sweet home in KAUA'I

Visited the island from 1/12 - 1/19. Arrived late night, so Rick placed an orange cone for the unit parking spot. Thank you! The condo was quite, comfortable and became like our home as days go by. We cooked breakfast, packed drinks and sandwiches in the icebox each day. We dined at Ama, Fish Market, Postcards restaurants, and our favorite bakery, Kilauea Bakery recommended by Rick. The weather was good during the stay. We spent only one afternoon by the pool, and it was nice. Wish we had another day to feel at home. Enjoyed our first visit on Kaua'i very much.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
