Wonderful!
The property was comfortable, well-appointed, beautifully decorated with lots of comfy furniture. We enjoyed the wood fireplace and all the special little touches that Garry and Janice included to make our stay practically perfect. The sunroom converted to a bedroom worked better than we thought it would.

Interesting Place
The church conversion has been done thoughtfully and with love. Everything works and is comfortable if not luxurious. The host was highly accommodating and friendly. Great location if you want to explore Smith’s Falls, Perth and Merrickville. The nearby boat ramp is great for smaller boats, our 18’ bass boat was about as big as would fit. The big surprise was the number of high quality restaurants in Perth. Bistro 54 is an outstanding Italian. Fiddleheads and Mex&Co are also excellent with good food and unique ambiance.

Beautiful setting. Great host.
A nice novelty staying in a converted church. Transformed into very homely accommodation. Close to road but no road noise when windows/doors closed (thick church walls). Can hear people moving about upstairs (loft apartment/studio) at times (other guests) but really very minimal. Could be a bit warm in one of the rooms if extremely hot at night (if you are used to AC) but fan provided. Great setting - some beautiful towns very close. Church close to water and canoes/kayaks were available. The host (and her husband) were wonderful. She was a wealth of local information and suggestions suitable for guests staying. She really made the stay a great experience. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place and would likely stay there again if vacationing in that area. Lovely people and lovely place.

Such a beautiful building and property
Our stay was to celebrate a 30th wedding anniversary and we were absolutely thrilled by the building (a restored 1900 stone church), the property and the generosity of the hosts. Waiting for us in the refrigerator was a delicious apple dessert and a hand-written note. How nice was that? As well, check-in was seamless. On top of this, Port Elmsley is beautiful and very well situated to some great drives and destinations. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
