Rustic 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom 1800 Square foot Villa near Starved Rock. The Villa Sleeps up to 8 guests and has two fireplaces and a private tub in the master bedroom. Located within 1 1/2 hour drive of Chicago, this relaxing retreat is for you and your entire family and guests! Villa is very roomy and provides an ideal weekend getaway for families and friends looking for a relaxing weekend escape. Spacious living room features 2 plush sofas and a gas fireplace. The Kitchen is fully equipped with all of the necessary appliances and cooking utensils and the Villa backs up to Starved Rock Nature Preserve

Some of the best hiking in Illinois is available at nearby Matthiesen and Starved Rock State Parks. Nearby Bicycle trails also provide beautiful natural scenery on the
I & M Canal State Trails. Visit Nearby Country Edge Mall where you can sample, Fabulous Cupcakes, Homemade candy and Soda Pop from round the world and the Jerky shop.

Great Location & Stay!

This spacious villa is perfect for a getaway weekend. My family stayed here and loved the location in regards to the multiple state parks in the area and how close to town it was. Would definitely stay here again.

Our villa was very clean and spacious for 5 adults. The only issue we encountered was the inability to access internet - on the TVs or our phones until the final morning of our stay. We called upon arrival about a problem with wi-fi and found we were given the incorrect password, so that was a quick fix. Internet access remained off until just hours before check-out time. This issue did not ruin our vacation, although it was an adjustment for our teenage grandchildren! :) We were on the move a great deal and spent time in the evenings playing games from pre-internet times! We wouldn't hesitate to rent this vrbo again!

Fun at Starved Rock

Close to the park and in the Grand Bear Resort vicinity. We all loved how close the park was, how quaint the town is and the kids love the indoor water park!

The place was perfect and spacious. Had everything we could need. Warning though, do not rent if you want to use Great Bear Resort Water Park. Even though on the property, they do not view this as part of their resort and will not sell you tickets when busy which is nearly always. You have to go through their website.
