Location was great—just steps across the road to the beach, and big views from the front room and deck. House was spacious and seating comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with cooking equipment. Property management firm was mostly prompt with responses. But a few details definitely need attending to. Despite the photo that shows a bright, light-flooded living room, the house sorely lacks adequate lighting. There are no overhead lights anywhere, and not enough floor lamps to make up for it. Especially during a fall/winter stay, when it is dark by 4:30 PM, it is difficult to see. Could not read comfortably on the sofa or play games on the coffee table, nor easily cook dinner in the kitchen. The bedroom on the main floor likewise is in need of overhead lighting—a simple bar of can lights would do it. There were two lamps by the sides of the bed with rather dull fluorescent bulbs, but they weren't nearly enough to light the high-ceilinged room. Couldn't see to use the mirror above the dresser or find stuff in drawers. The bedding was also inadequate: just a sheet and a thin cotton coverlet. It was cold and stormy, and we sure could have used a blanket, but there were none in the closet. There was no hand soap in the upstairs bathroom, and we couldn't find any in the closet, nor did we get a response when I texted the management firm to inquire if I could find some anywhere else. Also got only two dishwasher detergent pods, not enough for a 3-night stay for 6 people over Thanksgivig
