Winemakers' house of character of the 18th century (130 sq.m) fully renovated in 2011, located in the middle of an enclosed park of 8000 sq.m. The bright & modern decoration (facing south and west) includes 4 bedrooms (3 with a double bed of 160 and 1 with two 90 cm beds. Large living room with fireplace, sofa, and TV w/ DVD player. Table with 2 extensions. Fully equipped kitchen, 3 rings electric hobs, extractor hood, a large thermal oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge w/ freezer compartment & small electrical appliances. Regulated heating in all seasons. On each of the 2 levels, 1 separate wc and shower room with large shower. Veranda with deck chairs and garden furniture. Large standing charcoal BBQ. Outdoor games (ping pong, rackets, petanque balls). Private parking lot for 3 cars. Many activities available nearby, on foot in the countryside, by car in the nearby vineyard. Shops are 5 min away. Historic centre and TGV train station are 10 min away.

The house is located in Dijon, in a very quiet location, withdrawn from the road, close to: - the centre (10 mn by bus 13 which passes by the property), - and the countryside and a classified nature reserve which one can reach in just a few minutes walk. It is located at 330m altitude, to the north of the Cote des vins.
Outside the famous historic centre of Dijon which represents one of France's great preserved historic sectors, within a range of about an hour by car around the house, the prestigious heritage of ancient Bourgone displays its treasures: abbeys (Fontenay,
Citteaux,
Favigny, Cluny), Roman churches (Vézelay), castles, etc. The salt works at Arc and Senan are classified a Unesco heritage (like Fontenay), Bourgogne's vineyards (in the process of being classified by the Unesco) and from the Jura, the cities of Beaune, Autun, Auxerre, Avallon, Montbard, Dole, Arbois, Besancon.
5 min away by car, the Bourgogne channel which allows for long bike or boat trips, the Kir lac and beach in summer. Closeby, less than 20 min away, the possibility of playing tennis (outdoor and indoor court), golf course(2 x 18 holes), horse riding, swimming (olympic pool and diving boards), aerial sports (Darois aerodrome), mechanical devices (Prenois circuit), mountain biking in the valleys leaving from the house.
A complete uniform set of linen and beds made on arrival, contribution to cleaning fees, local taxes, are included at Euro 15 on average per person (including children) which is added to the rental amount.
The possibility of having the free delivery of fresh bread, catered dishes, all others on the shopping list. Free loan of books and films.
The rental cost is per week, from Saturday at about 4:00 p.m. to next Saturday at about 10:00 a.m. However, when it is possible, the rental can start and finish according to different times & days by mutual agreement.
The 50 % of the rental payment is made when booking (by cheque or bank transfer) and the balance is due upon hand over of the keys. We also ask for a damage deposit of Euro 500 on arrival to cover any damages. This sum is refunded on departure when inventory has been carried out. The owners live 30m away, in their own garden and can assist you at any moment if necessary.

Highly Recommended Wine Country House

This is an interesting, large, and lovely property on the outskirts of the small city of Dijon. The four bedroom and two bathroom rental house is across a gravel courtyard from the owners’ house, both historic structures within a large walled and gated former farm. The property is ancient (pre-1789) and a quiet, picturesque gated oasis at the edge of urbanized Dijon. The rental house itself is both charming and practical. The three upstairs bedrooms are bright and have attractive garden views and hardwood floors throughout. The upstairs bathroom and WC are separate, which is convenient, and the shower is large and functional (which is something noteworthy in France). The fourth bedroom, downstairs, is large and practical, and has a nice window to the pathway along the back of the house. The downstairs bathroom and WC are also separate and large. There are three gathering places in the large downstairs: the kitchen, which is bright and a convenient place to sit, eat, check emails, etc; the dining room, which has a large dining table surrounded by windows and books and is a lovely setting for a special family meal; and the living room, which has a comfortable sofa and lots of natural light. We were two persons for two weeks and four persons for one week, which was really nice, but the house would also be comfortable for larger groups. Our stay with the Hubert’s in Dijon was a high quality, genuine French experience reminiscent of a past time before globalization and the spread of chain T-shirt stores, chain restaurants, and packaged bus tours. Located near the edge of the urban area, the property is a jumping off place for long, quiet walks in the adjacent undeveloped hills. We had a car, but found that catching the bus (right outside the gate) was a very convenient way to visit the Dijon city center, with frequent service to the heart of the city. Best of all, the property is well-located for multiple evening and day trips to all of the interesting wine country destinations immediately south of Dijon. A five, ten, or 30 minute drive would put us in a lovely wine village, at a charming and authentic small French restaurant, riding bikes along a picturesque canal or through acres of vineyards, or in a castle or church listening to a concert (recommended by Manfred). The owners have professional careers, speak English, willing to help and are savvy about the best places and events, many of which are not well advertised and not in guidebooks.

Ein wunderbar romantisches Haus mit viel Platz und einem riesigen Garten. Das Haus selber ist älter - was gerade auch den Charme ausmacht - aber alles ist top gepflegt. Die Fotos geben einen guten Eindruck. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt, der Kontakt zum Vermieter - wohnt nebenan - war prima.

Eine Woche mit Freunden

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche in Dijon. Alles war wie beschrieben, gut und niveauvoll eingerichtet. Sehr schöne Bilder im Haus, ein traumhafter Garten mit Allee, die uns alle inspirierte. Charme et découvertes natures à Dijon

Nous avons passé une semaine en famille inoubliable. Tout y était : le confort certain et l'aménagement intérieur de la maison( qu'il soit pratique autant que culturel), la verrière où chacun aimait à s'y retrancher, le jardin et ses allées ombragées quand il faisait chaud; tout contribuait à la détente et au repos. La situation excentrée de la maison nous a permis également de découvrir un Dijon qu'on ne connaissait pas. En effet, tout en étant à 10 ' du centre historique, nous avons parcouru des kilomètres dans la nature dijonnaise : le Fort de la Motte Giron et ses infrastructures aménagées en sentiers de randonnées et en espaces de jeux pour les enfants et qui vous mène au Parc naturel de la Combe, le Lac de Kir et la promenade de l'Ouche avec sa faune et sa flore. Merci au propriétaire pour son accueil chaleureux et sa gentillesse.

Wunderbares Grundstück mit eimer eigenen Allee, kleinem Weinberg und Bouleplatz. Freundlicher und sedhr hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Große Wohnung mit Einrichtung,die keine Wünsche offenliess. Bunter Herbst im Burgund

Wir haben Mitte Oktober eine Woche in diesem sehr gemütlichen Haus mit dem tollen Garten verbracht. Für vier Erwachsene und vier Kinder (von 4 bis 10 Jahren) ist das Haus prima geeignet. Es ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und es ist alles da, was man braucht. Man ist schnell in der Stadt, und Dijon hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Außerdem ist der See sehr nah und man kann schöne Spaziergänge machen. Als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Alesia, Beaune und Cluny eignet sich dieser Standort perfekt. Und nach den spannenden Tagen die Nachmittagssonne im Garten genießen, gemeinsam kochen und den Tag vor dem Kamin ausklingen lassen, ist einfach großartig und entspannend. Wir kommen sicher wieder ;-)

Sehr erholsamer Urlaub in Dijon!

Wir waren mit einer Familie mit 3 Kindern (11,13 und 15 Jahre) für 1 Woche in dem Haus mit großem Garten. Es diente uns als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge ins Burgund. Die Vereinbarung der Buchung war unkompliziert, der Empfang vor Ort und Stelle sehr freundlich. Das Haus ist ausreichend groß für eine Familie und sehr schön eingerichtet, zudem sehr sauber und gepflegt. Gerade auch Besteck und Geschirr ist in ausreichender Menge vorhanden, so dass die Geschirrspülmaschine nicht immer gleich wieder laufen musste. Der große Garten mit den vielen Spielmöglichkeiten (u.a. Tischtennis, Federball, Boule) lassen gerade auch den Kindern zwischen den Touren nach Beaune, Chalon-sur-Saône, Autun mit Bibracte (sehr interessant für Kinder!) und natürlich auch nach Dijon Möglichkeiten zur Erholung zu. Auch der Gartengrill wurde mehrfach benutzt und ist in gutem Zustand. Alles was man braucht ist auch vorhanden. Die Lage in der Stadt ist hervorragend. Es ist sicher und ruhig, man kann aber schnell Einkaufen gehen (Bäcker, Metzger und Intermarché sind in der Nähe) und man ist sehr schnell und unkompliziert im Zentrum von Dijon. Auch die Wege aus der Stadt in Richtung der Ausflugsziele sind kurz und einfach zu Fahren. Zusammengefasst können wir das Objekt mit gutem Herzen voll und ganz weiter empfehlen. Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Erfahrung mit vielen anderen Ferienhäusern lässt uns gut vergleichen und das Haus in Hinblick auf Preis/Leistung in die Spitzengruppe der bislang bewohnten Domizile einreihen. Wir würden es sofort wieder buchen!

Fantastisk hus med dejlig have

Vi boede to familier med børn i Manfreds hus og havde en fantastisk uge. Manfred var meget hjælpsom, huset var hyggeligt og faciliteterne i top. Haven er kæmpestor og meget velegnet til fx boldspil. Huset kan klart anbefales som base for udflugter til både vinområderne og byen.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette charmante maison. Idéalement située: proche du centre historique de Dijon tout en jouissant du calme de la campagne environnante. La description correspondait tout à fait à notre attente. Maison très propre, literie confortable, ameublement fonctionnel. Les photos sur internet sont fidèles ; le cadre est très bien ; l’équipement impeccable ; les propriétaires très disponibles et bienveillants - excellent à tous les titres. À proximité nous avons trouvé de belles balades à pied, en particulier du côté du fort de la Motte Giron. En un mot, nous recommandons chaudement.

Beautiful Property, Beautiful Hosts

Where can I begin? It is hard to sum up such an incredible experience with Manfred and Anne in a short summary. The property is located in a very convenient part of town but as soon as you drive through the gates, its as if you've been taken to the country-side. The orchard and garden (lovingly attended by Manfred and Anne) is something out of a fairy-tale. The house is perfectly charming and comfortable. Nothing can beat the hospitality of Manfred, Anne and their son Max. After our stay, we left feeling as if we had made life-long friends. We will always be grateful for the experience that was made by their generosity! We will definitely be going back!!

Family Retreat

Our family of seven, including our 4 adult children and one partner, stayed in this beautiful home for one week in July. Although the home has the appearance of being on a large country property, it is actually only 10 minutes from the centre of Dijon offering the best of both worlds. We spent several days in the interesting historic city of Dijon, arriving back at the home to feel the tranquility of a country property. Manfred and Anne, the owners, could not have been more helpful both prior to and during our stay at the house. Manfred promptly answered several emails regarding questions about hire cars and the logistics of getting to the house from the train station in Dijon. On our arrival we were greeted by Manfred and shown around the home. He then very kindly drove us to the nearest supermarket to get food supplies as at that stage we didn't have a hire car. Throughout our stay Manfred was available for advice about day trips to the surrounding areas however was never intrusive. The home and gardens are as beautiful as the pictures on the website. It comfortably accommodated 7 adults with 4 spacious double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 separate toilets and several comfortable areas to relax and eat. The furnishings were modern and comfortable and there was more than enough crockery, cutlery and seating for our large group. One evening we enjoyed a barbecue with 9 in the beautiful outdoor setting. As well as the barbecue, there is also a table tennis table and other play equipment for families stored in a nearby shed. The weather was unseasonably warm even for summer however once the windows were open in the evening the house cooled down and the area of town was very quiet so there was no problem sleeping with the windows open. The house had all the modern facilities such as a washing machine (a bit tricky to use as we couldn't understand the French instruction book), dishwasher (easy to use), new kitchen appliances, TV/DVD as well as lots of little extra touches such as nice table linen, candles and many books and maps to read and use. Although there is WiFi it is not a strong signal in the house itself. To connect you do need to be sitting outside the front door. During the week we enjoyed exploring the countryside nearby including bus trips into Dijon, walks in the National Park behind the property, cycling the Burgundy canals and drives to nearby villages. Thank you Manfred and Anne for a wonderful week - we hope we can return soon.

Phantastische Liegenschaft

Sehr schönes, grosszügiges und familienfreundliches Haus mit wunderschönem Garten. Küche mit allem Komfort, ideal, wenn man gerne selber kocht. Das Haus befindet sich in ruhiger schöner Lage, die Busstation ist gleich neben dem Haus. Die Verbindungen in die Stadt sind sehr gut. Am Sonntag (reduzierter Betrieb) und Abends ist man allerdings auf ein Auto angewiesen. Wir hatten hier ein Familientreffen. Der sympathische Gastgeber, hat uns sämtliche Wünsche erfüllt und 3 Kinderbetten zur Verfügung gestellt. Wir waren 8 Erwachsene mit drei Kleinkindern und hatten so genügend Platz. Herzlichen Dank! Das kleine Paradies

Wie aus der Ausschreibung schon zu vermuten, haben wir eine Oase der Ruhe und Behaglichkeit gefunden. Das umfassend ausgestattete Haus (gute Heizung, Kamin, Wintergarten, 4 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder, Küche mit Spülmaschine, großer Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach, 'Waschmaschine etc.) lässt kaum Wünsche offen. Völlige Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit im park-ähnlichen Garten, Natur zum Spazieren gehen in der Nähe, Bushaltestelle vor der Haustüre, abgeschlossener Parkplatz für mehrere PKWs steigern die Attraktivität. Wir waren vollauf zufrieden und hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt und einen sehr guten, sympathischen Eindruck von der im separaten Nebengebäude wohnenden Gastgeberfamilie. Bewertung: Top!!!!!

Un sejour familal très agréable

Pour ce sejour d'une semaine, nous etions 6 adultes et 4 enfants. Et l'unanimité s'est faite pour garder un excellent souvenir de ce sejour. Le cadre est tres agréable avec ce grand jardin sécurisé où les enfants ont enchainés parties de cache-cache et cabanes. Et nous avions grand plaisir à nous retrouver autour du feu de cheminée, dans cette maison au bon confort et décoré avec goût. Tout est fait pour acceuillir agréablement les enfants avec les multiples DVD de dessins animés, les bandes dessinés en libre accés. Les propriétaires sont chaleureux et plein d'attention pour leurs locataires. C'est une adresse à chaudement recommander!!!

Une jolie surprise

Après plusieurs heures de route, une jolie surprise : une maison spacieuse, joliment décorée et un accueil chaleureux. Nous avons apprécié les lits faits à l’arrivée, le linge de maison à disposition, les produits courants et nécessaires à la cuisine et à son entretien. La toute proximité de la ville, le calme d’un environnement boisé, le plaisir de se retrouver au coin du feu après les différentes et nombreuses visites de la journée nous ont permis de passer un excellent week-end familial. Petits et grands auraient volontiers prolongé le séjour… que nous recommandons vivement. Merci aux propriétaires.

Can't wait to go back!

My parents and I stayed 4 nights in this property, and we could have stayed forever! It was such an enchanting house, with the kind of charm we only dreamed of finding on our trip to Dijon. The weather was perfect, and we were able to enjoy dinner out on the patio dining table almost every night, as well as breakfast and coffee there each morning. The ambiance of the home, and the adjacent orchard, garden, vineyards, and yard was beyond our expectations. the photos do not do it justice. The house itself is well-equipped. The kitchen has nearly everything you could need, including cookware and some basic spices. The closets were stocked with insecticides (for which we were thankful in the summer!), basic cleaning supplies to keep the kitchen nice, and a lovely fan that came in handy at night. The beds are comfortable and the linens updated. The whole house was very clean and well-maintained, while retaining the perfect balance of updated features and the charm of another era. There were many books and interesting things in the home to give it charm and function, and Manfred provided many resources to help us in our travels, such as maps, books, and a booklet of local information. We were only three people staying in this large house, and would have been comfortable with 6 or more people. Since we had a rental car, the home was very convenient to drive to the market (5 min) or into town (10-15 min), but felt remote and quiet, just as we wanted. While the wifi did not work very well, we were able to connect periodically and check email, and it forced us to unplug and enjoy the gorgeous surroundings of the property. The laundry machine (combination wash/dry) was tricky to figure out, and takes quite a while to run, but was a lifesaver for our trip (and allowed us to pack lighter). Manfred was a perfect host, stopping by to offer tips periodically, and just a text message away for anything we needed. He is very friendly and kind, and was a great resource. The best part of the trip was the cherries coming off one tree in the orchard! We were able to pick and enjoy them the whole trip! Such a lovely (and delicious) surprise!) I hope very much that I am able to return to Dijon and stay in this property again.

Bel endroit près de la route des grands vins

Très bel endroit pour passer une semaine ou un WE en famille ou entre amis. Superbe parc et équipement très complet. Aménagé avec modernité, gout et simplicité. Chambres confortables. Beaucoup de cachet. Facile d'accès et proche des commodités et de la route des grands vins de Bourgogne. Un endroit à découvrir et vivement recommandable.

Gîte où l'on se sent bien

Nous avons passé un superbe week-end en famille dans le gîte de M. et Mme HUBERT. Nous étions 3 couples accompagnés de 2 enfants. L'accueil par Monsieur HUBERT,a été très chaleureux et la prise de possession des lieux a été très simple grâce à ses explications tout à fait pertinentes aussi bien au niveau de la vie courante que des lieux à visiter ou des ballades à faire. Le gîte, proche du centre ville de Dijon, est très confortable et la propreté est irréprochable. Nous nous sommes sentis très bien dans cet espace qui nous a permis de vivre un très bon moment en famille. Nous recommandons particulièrement ce gîte et si l'occasion se présente nous y retournerons volontiers. Une famille Bretonne
