Vores hus ligger ved Neddick havn. Huset ligger 150 meter fra gaden (børnevenlig). Vi har over 200 ft græsplæne, der fører ned til Cape Neddick havn. Vi har et komplet køkken med opvaskemaskine, ny ekstra stor køleskab, ny komfur. 3-soveværelser *, 2 komplette badeværelser, 2 stuer. et kontor, der er en del af det ene af soveværelserne. På kontoret er en sovesofa i fuld størrelse ideel til børn, der har brug for at sove ved siden af mor og far. Vi har 1 king size seng, 2 queen size, 1 fuld størrelse seng, en fuld størrelse futon. Direkte tv med film i stue og i 2 soveværelser Alle er senge og sengetøj er nye eller er i fremragende stand. ** Før vi begynder den nye sæson, er det indre af huset malet, og gulvet refiniseres.

Fisk efter striber væk fra klipperne ** leveres fiskestænger.*** Toppen af linjen kajakker og paddleboards til gæster bruger. Slap af i nul tyngdekraften stole ved havet. Stor brand pit *** gratis brænde til gæster. Medbring din egen båd (lanceringen er nede på gaden for $ 10). Cape Neddick-floden (google it) er en favorit blandt kajaksejere. Den (børnevenlige) passaconway-strand ligger 350 meter ned ad gaden. Passaconway-stranden ved lavvande bliver en massiv sandbjæl med lavvandede varme tidevandsbassiner. Medbring dine golfklubber Cape Neddick country club ligger 1 km væk. Kystlinjets opdagelsesvogntog vælger og falder ned ad gaden. Vognen giver dig mulighed for at rejse til York og Ogunquit for sightseeing, spisning, strandene uden at skulle betale $$$$ for at parkere.

Når du ankommer, behøver du aldrig at køre. 50 yards til venstre for indkørslen er Shore rd Market. 'Markedet' er almindeligt kendt for sin store morgenmads- og skaldyrsmenu og den berømte $ 9. 99 lobsta rulle. Markedet har også alle slags øl, vin og proviant, aviser, endda New York-papirerne!200 meter til højre for indkørslen er Cape Neddick Hummer Pound (google det). York Beach tilbyder et eklektisk sortiment af butikker, god mad og natteliv. Ogunquit-legestuen tilbyder shows på broadway-kvalitet gennem hele sommersæsonen. York beach er et lokalt teenage-samlingssted med arkader og strande.

Heavenly Maine Coast Haven

The house was cozy and yet spacious enough for everyone to have quiet private moments as well as fun common time. The beautiful rocky harbor view was the best part with seating on the patio and down by the water. The host graciously accommodated our special needs.

Great Location

Matt is a gracious and helpful host. He provided us with a lot of guidance and directed us to the most fun and interesting local sites and eateries. The property has a great view down to the water and it is easy to slip the kayaks into the ocean for some excellent paddling. The deck has an outstanding view. I would suggest that Matt get a little help with decorating the unit as the furniture is a bit of a hodgepodge. Overall, we had a great time.

Relaxing in Maine

The house was wonderful. All the conveniences of home with a fantastic view of the water right at our door. Matthew is a phenomenal host and made sure we had all we needed for a comfortable stay plus more.

Another Great Stay on Cape Neddick

This was our 2nd vacation stay and couldn't have been more pleased with our time here. The setting is just beautiful and simply looking out over the back lawn and to the Bay brought an instant feeling of calm and relaxation, a sight we enjoyed daily whether it was the sun shimmering on the water, the fog rolling in over the Cove on an overcast day or the amazing colors of the sky after a storm, it was a spectacular view and one we never tired of. The house is perfectly located between many of the key destinations along the Maine coast. The Cottage itself is fully equipped with everything you need and is exceptionally clean, safe and comfortable. This property is very well managed, and Matthew has clearly put a lot of thought into the experience of his guests. Even our Golden Retriever, Arlo, seemed to feel right at home and did fantastically well. I can't say enough about how helpful and generous Matthew was with his time and assistance should you need it during your stay. While our dining preference this trip was curbside pickup, during covid, we enjoyed great service from each and every local establishment we tried. All in all, this was a great vacation in a wonderful home! Thank you Matthew for all your help in making our time there so pleasant and enjoyable! We definitely recommend a stay here to anyone wanting to experience Maine and all it has to offer!

Amazing!

We could not have asked for a better vacation! I already miss the view from the cottage! From the large yard, to the proximity to The Cape Neddick Beach and other local attractions, my family couldn’t be happier. Matthew was a gracious host and helped with anything we needed. Excellent experience that will provide memories for our family for years to come.

Couldn’t have been happier!

My family and I just returned from our vacation in York Beach and I have to say we have found a wonderful place! From the time we arrived and were greeted with a friendly welcome from Matt, the owner, to sitting on the deck early in the morning, drinking coffee and watching the sunrise over the ocean , from the wonderfully stocked kitchen to the comfortable beds that kept us cozy and comfy all night long, we knew we had come to the right place. We had a group of 6 including a 5 year old and we never felt crowded or closed in. There was plenty of space with many windows that provided lots of ocean views. The yard was large and well kept and our grand daughter had more than enough room to play. My son brought along his computer to do some work and was able to connect to the WIFI and internet with no problems. Our host, Matt, was one of the friendliest, most knowledgeable and helpful people that we’ve ever met on one of our vacations. If you had a question, he had the answer. We truly enjoyed our time and are eagerly looking forward to returning next summer. Thank you.

Great family stay

Such a perfect location and quintessentially Maine experience. Thanks to Matthew for all the extra help, super friendly host! House interior had all the basics, but the yard expanding down to the shore is what really sold it for us. The close proximity to the tidal Passaconway beach as well as the use of awesome paddleboards (and kayaks) made the week exceptional if you are looking for a Maine beach experience at its best for kids.

Wow...LOVE this property!!!

What a perfect place for a relaxing getaway! I rented this property for myself, my 3 sisters and my brother in law. There was more than enough space for all of us and we all loved being there. Matthew was a great host...good communication and very accommodating. He strives to make sure his guests are comfortable and have everything they need. We will be returning annually.

A 5 star wonderful experience !

Right from the start from booking on VRBO to landing at the property was a breeze. Matthew was just a delight !! The cottage and the rest of the property were just what we hoped. I wanted to be on the water and this location didn't disappoint. There were 4 of us and the layout of the cottage and land allowed for us to have our own private meditation spaces. Although the weather wasn't always perfect, we just enjoyed the view and the cozy feel of the cottage. Having previously stayed in Ogunquit, I most definitely prefer York. It's less congested and still convenient to everything we wanted. We really hope to return to stay at this property next year. We couldn't have had a more attentive, more helpful, nicer host than Matthew. He made our week that much more enjoyable!

A little slice of Heaven and Lobsters too!

Just back from 2 glorious weeks in York, Maine. Matthew as always was a wonderful host . The house is everything anyone would need for a relaxing home away from home- plenty of bedrooms for family and friends and a well appointed kitchen if you love to cook as I do. The million-dollar view of the York Harbor is second to none. Can't wait to make our reservation for next year! Thank you, Matthew!

Authentic beach cottage offering water front to Cape Neddick Harbor

Such an awesome authentic beach cottage on the water at Cape Neddick Harbor! It is in an excellent location adjacent to Cape Neddick Beach as well as York Short Sands and Long Sands. Ogunquit and Kennebunkport, as well as scenic Cape Porpoise are just a short ride away. No need to pack up to go to the beach though. The sun, the surf ... it's all right there at the cottage! If you do want to go to the beach, it's just a 5 minute walk to Cape Neddick Beach, and there are small beach chairs at the cottage that you can easily carry. The cottage also has everything you need for a lobster feed - large pots for steaming lobsters, clams and corn on the cob - crackers to break into the shells. Or, if you don't want to prep them yourself, So Me Lobster Pound is around the corner and very punctual at having everything steamed and ready at a time of your choosing, ready to enjoy on your own deck overlooking the water! The kayaks provided are so much fun to take down the Cape Neddick River or on a longer trip to the Nubble Light House. For those of you who prefer not to brave the traffic in your own car, the mini bus will pick you up right next to Cape Neddick Beach, just a short 5-minute walk away, and drop you off at beautiful Perkins Cove in Ogunquit where you can walk the scenic Marginal Way, take a boat cruise, dine at one of the many restaurants or just shop at the quaint shops. The bus will pick you up at the Cove and drop you back to Cape Neddick all for a $1 per person for each leg of your journey. Matthew, the owner, is extremely accommodating. This cottage is fully equipped. I have been coming here for years and plan to return next year!

A little slice of Heaven right in the backyard of York, Maine

Relaxing, comfortable vacation spot

We've enjoyed our stay for the past 4 years and hope to continue our week long vacation at this location for many more to come. The large cottage is always a welcomed sight when we arrive with dog, Mortimer. He has plenty of room to run and play on the lawn. There is a fully equipped kitchen and we enjoy our meals with views of the sunrise, tides, birds and boats from the inside dining area or outside at the deck's large table and comfy chairs. The owner, Matt, sees that the cottage is clean and tidy upon our arrival; and he is 100% accommodating and gracious. I would never hesitate to recommend this property to friends or family.

Wonderful stay!

The cottage was spacious, comfortable and extremely clean, and the view was absolutely stunning. It's in a very private location directly on the water, but just a 5 minute walk to a small town beach in one direction, and a 10 minute walk to Short Sands Beach, the Goldenrod and other attractions to be found there in the other. We loved being able to sit outdoors and hear nothing but the sounds of birds singing, waves, and a distant bell buoy, yet still be a short walk or drive to restaurants, shopping and other attractions. I would highly recommend this place, and our thanks go to Matt for being so solicitous about our comfort during our stay!

Beautiful amazing location

Our family stayed here in mid-June. The weather cooperated very day. The house was perfect for our family with teenagers. The house was very clean and everything we needed was available including washer and dryer and linens too. To be able to wake up and sit down by the ocean with a coffee in the morning was heaven on earth for me. It was a pleasant walk to both short sands and long sand beaches. The fire-pit was a great bonus, all the chairs to sit in, the huge yard - everything was perfect! We have stayed in different cottages in different towns in Maine and this is definitely our favourite home to rent. Matt, the owner, is kind, helpful and wants you to enjoy every minute of your stay. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, he even brought us brochures of different sights to see and restaurants to go to. Don't look any further if you want a great holiday - this is definitely the place to rent. We will be back next summer only problem is it will not come fast enough!

Listen to the waves splashing

The house is set on the most pristine harbor I have ever seen. The waves sounds sang to us every night and the view of the open ocean was worth the trip. The decor was adequate & comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dish & cook ware. Big screen TV's in living room & master bedroom. Really close to York Village & beach. My only regret was that the deck wasn't screened in (but the view from the master & living room & 2nd of three bedrooms was great). Fire pit with wood provided, grill, myriad of chairs all over property & kayaks for your use. Great place!!!

Amazing!

All of the stuff you read in the reviews is true! Waking up to this view every morning is amazing. The owner Matt was incredibly nice and helpful. The home was more than we coudl have asked for. We usually stay in hotels on our trips but this opened our eyes to renting a house, and will will do this more in the future. Close to everything! I already miss Bob's Clam Hut! We will be back.

York Vacation

The most enjoyable vacation I have had in years. It has been a month since we were there and I still miss the house and the backyard. I had plans to do all sorts of things while on vacation, but the house and yard were so relaxing that I just stayed there. When I did venture off from the house, I was able to walk to wherever I wanted to go. The beach, restaurants, town and market were all within walking distance. I also didn't have to pack much as everything is provided at the house. It is a great place to have a family vacation. Plenty of room to spread out and not get in each others way. I have already booked for next year.

York Maine Vacation Rental

One Word....GREAT !!!!!! I do read others reviews before I rent. The reviews on this property were exact. It is perfect!!! We really enjoyed the home...listening to the ocean at sunrise...most especially at night..sitting on the porch with a glass of wine. We have Yorkies, so, we brought a baby gate with us to block the exit from the porch to the yard. This way, our pets were safe and enjoyed the property, as well. We enjoy antiqueing and history.... There are many antique shops as well as a historic sights to visit. Plus, the owner supplied us with info on the local shops, activities, sites and restaurants. It is a short drive to many places of interest in Maine or New Hampshire. The owner made us feel very comfortable..told us to inquire if we needed anything during our stay... Great customer service. The property was beyond clean. Our family has allergies. The owner cleans the home and linens with green products. That in itself is not found in other rentals. Our allergies did not flare up during our stay. The home is very spacious. We never felt cramped. We have rented other properties from this site as well as searching properties for rent on Google. Of the properties we have rented....This property was the cleanest and exactly as described. In addition...green cleaning supplies were supplied in the event of a spill, etc. Linens and towels were clean and plentiful. It was a wonderful time and I recommend this property to anyone seeking quiet, ocean view as well as enjoying a home instead of an apt or condo. Also, it is a great location to enjoy day trips to the surrounding towns. We have found a GREAT Vacation spot for our future visits to Maine.
