This house is amazing! Very clean, roomy, kitchen equipped with necessities, and the views are amazing. The quick walk to the lighthouse and town were a plus. The owners are great to work with - friendly, hispitable, and just nice people.

This was our first stay at The Pioneer on York Beach, and it was perfect for our family. There was plenty of room for the adults and our 7 grandchildren, and everyone had a great time. Much of our time was spent on the beach each day, which was just a short walk from the house. We’ve stayed at 4 different GVC properties for the past 5 years, and each one has been excellent - they all have a consistent feel and provide all the necessary amenities for a wonderful experience. The Game room was a special space, providing a separate area to enjoy game time. Our hosts from GVC were easy to work with and accessible as needed.

Brought back childhood memories!

We have just returned from a week at York Beach and enjoyed every minute of our vacation .. there were 11 of us ranging from 6 years to 76 years ! Location cannot be beat .. short drive to Nubble lighthouse, Fox’s, Dunne’s ice cream, or short walk to the Goldenrod, Wicked Good Ice Cream, the Fun o Rama, bowling , shops and restaurants ! Easy access to beach … a beach wagon is available for guest use… beds were comfortable .. house was immaculately clean.. plenty of towels and beach towels …views are amazing and I miss the view while enjoying my morning coffee ! We hope to return again ! I used to go to York Beach with my grandparents and I’m glad I could introduce my boys, their wives and my grandchildren to a place that is so special to me ! Be sure to check out Anthony’s on route 1 for great pizza/ sandwiches / Italian dishes to go… nice Hannafords nearby and Stonewall kitchen is a short drive !

Our May Vacay

This was our third year renting this house. Once again, it did not disappoint! Communication with the owners was easy. They were very helpful and quick to respond to our questions. It was a pleasure dealing with them. The ocean view from the first floor (and deck) is spectacular! The house is spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. The bonus game room was a plus to have for down time or chilly nights/mornings. Looking forward to a return stay!

Long time friends come together

We so enjoyed our 4-night stay in this home. Beautiful views, comfortable beds, everything we needed in the kitchen and the convenience of the Ogunquit Playhouse and good restaurants made our stay so nice despite the bad weather. Loved this home.

A little March getaway

Absolutely perfect stay! The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was fantastic—close to the beach, great restaurants, and all that York has to offer. The hosts were responsive and made everything seamless. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

New Year’s Vacation

Our stay was wonderful! The home was clean, beautifully decorated, and had all the items needed for cooking, bathing, etc. My only comment from people in our group was the WiFi was not strong enough to support all of our devices and some of the mattresses were not comfortable and should be replaced.

Christmas by the Seaside

The Pioneer gave us the perfect Christmas family reunion location. With people flying in from all over, Logan was a easy trip. The views, the walks, the game room for the kids, and the layout of the house were perfect. We were able to put all the kids upstairs with their parents and the adults were downstairs. The kitchen had everything - every size pot and pan, plenty of dishes and glasses, and supplies that you almost always forget to bring. We had a wonderful 7 days and would love to repeat the experience next year.

Family get away

This is our second year renting this house and it continues to be our favorite! Plenty of space for 15 pple (this includes children) to spread out. We’ve never seen a better stocked kitchen!! Everything you would think you’d need can be found in one of the cabinets.

On the beach

The house was perfect for our needs. The absolutely wonderful location, right on the beach and walking distance to shops, is ideal. The house was very clean and well organized, and we didn't lack for anything. .We did have difficulty with the wifi one day, but the owners responded right away and the issue was taken care of immediately. I would definitely stay again! ps I found it a bit irritating that we needed to strip the beds and start the towel laundry, especially given that we pay for cleaning services.
