Beautiful 2-bedroom house only 10 minutes from Belmopan

Just 10 short minutes’ drive from Belmopan, Catbird Cottage is a beautiful new 2-bedroom bungalow nestling in the tranquil riverside forests and gardens of Rock Farm.

The master bedroom has screened, double French doors opening onto the verandah. This double-bedded room has spacious closets, a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom with double basins and walk-in shower.

The second bedroom also has French doors opening onto the verandah. It has twin-beds and ample closet space with a bathroom across a short hallway.
The fully-equipped kitchen includes a large stove and fridge-freezer with water dispenser, and ample crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. The living room has sofas and a TV (no cable, locally stored movies only)

All windows and doors are fully screened, although the area is famous for being almost bug-free! The deep verandah around the east and north sides overlooks the gorgeous gardens, and there are wild birds all around.

Rock Farm is also the home of Belize Bird Rescue, Belize’s only all-species avian rescue centre. Many of the rehabilitated wild birds, especially parrots, are released right here on the property!

Rock Farm Guest House is also situated on the property, and is open for a full English Breakfast or evening meal if you don’t feel like cooking for yourself.

The crystal clear Roaring River is perfect for lazy floats or cooling swims all year round, with a riverside beach for picnics and snoozes. The woodland walks, ponds and gardens in our 50 acre reserve are yours to explore, and select tours of the Bird Rescue facility can be arranged for a donation.

Rock Farm is centrally located for so many excursions in the Cayo District. 3 minutes away is the country’s only golf course - Roaring River Golf Course. We no more than 30 minutes from cave tubing trips and the Belize Zoo, and less than an hour from Mayan ruins, ATM Cave, Green Iguana Project, Mountain Pine Ridge and so much more: easy if you have your own vehicle, otherwise contact us for tour itineraries and costs.
