Girls Getaway

This was a great property. Very well decorated. Wonderful neighborhood and close to JoJo’s. The only issues we had were the WiFi was not that great (and NO cell service on our phones). Also, the house is not on the river and the river can not be viewed from the house. Another concern, If you are hot natured you may want to take a blanket for your bed. The beds have a sheet and feather duvet to cover up with so you may get hot. We had a wonderful stay and would stay there again.

Perfect fit

Originally, there would be 5 adults and 3 kids. Due to scheduling conflict we only had 3 adults and 3 kids, so we had extra space. All 8 of us would have been perfectly comfortable. Our host was very easy to communicate with! Just an hour or two before we arrived there was a big storm, and we were without power for a few hours upon arriving. Our host was really helpful with communicating to Entergy. All was fixed the same night. We had everything we needed for our stay!

Main house is great. But third bedroom is not

This property looks beautiful on the inside of the main house. Very well done. The beds are super comfortable. The mother-in-law suite is a problem. It is basically a storage room off of the carport that they added a bed to. There is no bathroom there so if you need to wake up and use the bathroom in the middle of the night you have to leave the mother-in-law suite and walk into the main house. Also bugs were a huge problem. Quite a few spiders inside the house and around the house they were awful.

Nice main house with caveat

The main house is nice. Beds are super comfortable. Bugs galore inside and outside. Spiders everywhere so they really need to spray. The mother in law suite is basically a storage closet that they added a bed to. Also if you need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night you have to leave the MIL suite, walk outside into the main house, to use the bathroom. The pullout is also located in the MIL suite. So not ideal. Really need to replace the main couch in the house with a pullout to make it more kid friendly.

Not a good start for the four of us at this rental.

The house is located in a lovely, quiet area very near the White River. At check-in time of 3 pm and armed with the door lock code, I approached the front door to unlock it, but to my surprise, when I touched the door to begin entering the first number of the code, the door swung open. The 4 of us entered and were disappointed to find the previous guests dirty linens/towels still piled on the floor, the beds were not made, and dishes were still in the dishwasher. Obviously, the housekeeping service failed to clean this rental prior to 3 PM check-in time. I tried to call the host, and was surprised to learn AT&T cellular had no service at that location. So, we proceeded to locate the linen closet where we found sheets and pillowcases and we made our beds. We were easily able to connect to the WiFi with the code provided, so we did have internet access! We then decided to go to town. Upon leaving, I attempted to lock the door using the door code and realized it wasn’t as simple as just entering the 4 digit code. The other couple with me had the same Schlage door lock system at their house, so they showed me how to successfully lock and unlock the door by also including the oval Schlage button and turning the internal key lock mechanism. I feel it would have been helpful had door lock/unlock instructions been provided when the door lock code was provided. On our drive to town, when we got cell phone service, I called Jeremy and told him that housekeeping had not been to the house before check-in time and that we made the beds. He said he would take care of it. I told him we would be away in town for awhile. When we returned, the pile of linens were gone. The dishes were still in the dishwasher, and some of them did not get clean when the previous guests ran the dishwasher on their way out. The dishes should have been removed, if clean should have been put away, and those that were not clean should have been hand washed and put away. The first morning we found the coffee grounds were still in the coffee maker from a previous guest. We determined late the first night that the heat did not work. The heat pump cycled, but the air handler did not work, as no air whatsoever came out of the vents. Our stay was Fri & Sat night, and I forgot to notify Jeremy of the heat problem until Sunday, after we left. He replied he’d take care of it ASAP. There are many choices of places to stay at Mtn View, we will likely stay elsewhere in the future.

Delightful

We loved our stay at this absolutely perfect place! Beds were extremely comfortable, kitchen well equipped, the home wonderfully decorated and furnished. We loved the screened in back porch and gliders. The area was quiet and beautiful. The gas fireplace was so wonderful. We were about 15 minutes from town, the Ozark Folk Center, and Blanchard Springs Caverns. We will definitely be staying here again!

Beautiful home with bonus room.

This home had the MOST comfortable beds we have ever had in all the VRBO homes we've stayed in. Very clean and the neighborhood is very quiet! Highly recommend this home.

Beauty and peace

The white river was great for fishing . We went to the state park saw water falls and the clearest water. It was so beautiful. The stay in our cabin was very nice . Clean and the neighborhood was quite . We took a walk in the evening or sit on the front porch and enjoyed nature .

I guess I didn’t read as well as I should have, I thought it had 3 bedrooms but 3rd bedroom was a mother-in-law room away from house. It didn’t have bathroom or tv so the person that stayed there was kind of isolated from rest of family. If I had seen that I would not have rented this house. But it was on me for not reading better.

Adventures with friends.

We have friends that wanted to take a trip on their trike motorcycle and we have always told them how fun Mountain View is. Was so nice being able to get up and have coffee with each other, go exploring the neat little shops, listen to some music, eat some ice cream, and go back to the house and relax. House was very comfortable and we enjoyed our getaway very much.

Beautiful home and surroundings!

Our experience from checking in to checking out was great. Uncle Dave was precious and very helpful. Sadly, the one restaurant everyone said to go to was closed, but we did find others. The house was beautiful even with the distinct vitamin smell throughout the house. The bed was super comfortable and the owners have thought of everything.
