Stand alone, private guest cottage. Beautiful & cozy. Remodeled Kitchen with granite counter tops tile back splash. New furnishings and new beds with down comforters. No pets. Private home with beautiful views of Little Cottonwood Canyon. Less than 10 minutes to Alta & Snowbird ski resorts. Close to Brighton and Park City skiing as well. Newly refinished and ready for your relaxing vacation. Enjoy the gas fireplace and watch the snow fall. Easy walk to the Bus / Park and ride to both Alta & Snowbird resorts. Access to Hot tub and BBQ grill. Gazebo area. Living area with large HD TV, bluRay and direct TV with movie channels, Dining area, Washer & Dryer, Full bathroom on the main level. 1 bedroom on main and 1 large bedroom upstairs with 1/2 bathroom. Loft has a twin size bed, comfy love seat, 32 inch HD TV with BluRay and lots of DVD's. Ski storage. Gas stove, Microwave, Granite countertops, coffee maker, Ninja Blender, complimentary coffee, hot chocolate and Tea.

Eric was a great host and was extremely welcoming. He even had a fun scavenger hunt for the kids. The cottage had everything you could need. He also had a number of great restaurant recommendations. If skiing at Alta or Snowbird in the future we would definitely come back!

We were greeted by Eric on arrival, he walked us through in making sure we were well informed of all amenities. Wow, a personal touch rare to see. We have stayed in many short term rentals, and this one is easily in the top five. The hosts are the most wonderful humans and clearly love welcoming people to this lovely cottage behind their home. Eric welcomed us upon arrival (despite it being 10pm) and walked us through the cottage to show us all features. Shauna insisted on plying us with baked goods, having Eric deliver them with instructions to eat the chocolate banana bread while it was still warm. Every amenity was considered - from robes to jars of peanuts and M&Ms to a bottle of wine - and the kitchen was one of the most completely stocked we've seen. There was a selection of teas and hot chocolate, and even books and games were available. When we had a problem with one of the toilets, Eric had it fixed while we were out. We truly felt like visiting family while we stayed at the Ivy Cottage and will absolutely come back!

I grew up in Utah. Married for over 41 years with 4 adult children and 10 grandkids. We moved to the Sandy area for our Children to be closer to their grandparents. We love the area and the people and want to share this fantastic location with you.

Why they chose this property

We love living at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon. We enjoy the wildlife that come to visit our yard. They love the pine trees and the deer like to munch on apples hidden in the snow during the winter or maybe steel a tomato from the garden. Lots of birds for those who love to listen to them sing or just like to watch them. We are close to many bike and hike trails for our summer time guests.

What makes this property unique

This area feels comfortable with majestic views of the canyons and large trees. Quiet, dead end road with large yards. Gas fireplace to create that romantic atmosphere. Even though we are right at the mouth of little cottonwood canyon, we are not on a busy road. We sit on a ridge to the west of Wasatch Blvd which gives us awesome view of the canyon. We've tried to provide everything you can think of to make your stay a fabulous experience. We are easy to reach and are happy to give you a tour of the property. We respect your privacy.
