THE HIDEAWAY: Charming, 2-bedroom apartment near ski slopes & Wasatch Mountains.

We’re sure you’re going to fall in love with The Hideaway! This charming, two-bedroom, full-basement apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood at the base of the Wasatch Mountains. You’ll have easy access to local hiking trails and world-class ski resorts. Incredible views of the mountains are right outside your door. It’s ideally situated near outdoor adventure and an easy commute to many local delights (including grocery stores like Trader Joes, restaurants, attractions, and adventure).

Plan on relaxing and unwinding in this newly remodeled 1,000 sq. ft. basement apartment. Enjoy a full kitchen, laundry room, two bedrooms, private driveway, and a fenced-in patio area (with a brand new, jetted hot tub waiting just for you)! We are fully stocked with coffee, tea, cream, sugar, etc.

We have everything you’ll need to savor some time away in the beautiful Utah mountains and national parks — hiking, climbing, biking, or skiing. Note: we are new to VRBO so check out our many 5 star ratings on the "Air Be and Be" site (VRBO will delete anything I mention about this site ;-) ...but we are Superhosts there. ;-)

We offer two queen beds, 2 twin beds (bunked) and a large sectional couch in the Living Room. The entire space has been newly remodeled and is spacious, cozy and comfortable!

Skiers, we are close tot he slopes and 3 minutes from a ski shuttle. We also have a lockable ski rack and 2 heated blower boot warmers to make your powder experience even better!

We are rated top 1% in short term rentals from all of our 5 star reviews. You will LOVE staying here - and we will love hosting you!

We stayed in some nice places during our USA roadtrip, but this place was special. You could feel the love that was put into this. My husband kept saying it over and over: „They put so much love and detail into this place!“ Everything you need and more is here. It is beautifully decorated, lit, and so comfortable; you feel right at home. During the whole stay, we kept finding things that were so special, whether it was a handwritten welcome note written in our own language, treats, bathrobes and towels, charging stations near the beds, extra spices/coffee, labels, detailed instructions and tips, etc., etc. It is in a quiet neighborhood but very close to amenities. We couldn‘t have picked a better place for our stay. Thank you so much for making our trip so special!

Had a great visit to Sandy, Ut. Owners were wonderful and very accommodating. Beautiful home with a lovely view of the mountains. Hot tub was a plus! I would definitely recommend staying here while visiting Salt Lake City area.

Perfect stay for daily activities at The Mountain America Expo Center. The owners have thought of everything. Very clean, well-stocked, quiet neighborhood, private. Hot tub was a plus. Definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at the Hideaway, we found the place to be cozy and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub, loved the coffee/tea station. We were in Sandy for a sports tournament and the Hideaway gave us a soft place to recover each day, laundry for those stinky jerseys, a full kitchen with lots of basics on hand. The bathroom appears newly renovated, soap/shampoo and lots of towels were provided for our use. There were games and books, which we did not use due to our hectic schedule, but would be fun if we had time, a thoughtful touch. Our Hosts Bill & Mary were super responsive and helpful. We all said we would return to the Hideaway for future tournaments.

Cozy and cute!

This was a great stay! We had long days of trainings in Draper while we were there but it was nice coming back to a home. We were tucked away in a quiet subdivision. Beds were very comfortable and the place was fully stocked and very clean. We will definitely rebook here when we have to go back.

The Finest!

Of all the places I've stayed over the years this one is rated #1. Clean, modern, cleverly decorated, exceptional attention to details, hooks everywhere and did I say its perfect for a small family and close to everything the SLC AREA offers. Yes it has a hot tub, too!

Excellent stay for skiing in Little Cottonwood Canyon

I was very pleased with the property and amenities that the owners provided. The hot tub and excellent location in close proximity to excellent ski resorts made our stay a five star experience. .

Perfect getaway for skiing and snowboarding

Location was perfect, only 20 minutes from snowbird. Everything inside was set up to keep things as simple as possible and was perfect for us. We had 6 adults staying here and it was perfect. Bill was super responsive with any questions I had. I would definitely recommend staying here

A Great Spot Close to Alta and Snowbird Skiing

The Hideaway is a very nicely furnished property that was perfect for a ski trip to Alta and Snowbird. My teen son and I used it as our base for seven great days of holiday skiing. The apartment is very nicely furnished, quiet, very clean, warm, well-lit, and with a well-equipped kitchen. There is a fenced-in hot tub that we happily used every day after returning from skiing. It could easily work for a smaller family or group of up to four people. It is close to the 994 ski bus that we took to the ski resorts each day, and it is also close to Little Cottonwood Canyon itself if you choose to drive up. (The bus was a great option to have as you don't need to worry about parking reservations or traction law requirements on snowy days). The property is in a quiet upscale suburban neighborhood but it is close to anything you might need. There are loads of dining and shopping options nearby and downtown SLC is about 20 minutes away.The hosts were very clear and communicative about checking in and out as well as touching base about any needs. We had no problems whatsoever in our stay and found them very clear and available about all necessities. I would definitely recommend this property and if we come back for more skiing we will certainly try to stay there again.

Sandy Utah is located right at the base of the of the Wasatch mountains. We’re only minutes from Little Cottonwood Canyon (22 minutes/ 9.8 miles from Snowbird and Alta ski resorts) and 28 minutes to Park City (Deer Valley, Solitude, and Brighton).

Note: we are new to VRBO so check out our many 5 star ratings on the "Air Be and Be" sight...we are superhosts there.

An official UTA Ski Park & Ride lot is a 3-minute drive away.

If you head south, we’re just 3-1/2 hours from the amazing Zion National Park. Downtown SLC or Park City is a 20 - 25 minute drive.

Our location is not only beautiful, but filled with amazing outdoor opportunities for fun and adventure!

The Hideaway Space

Living Room
— Our homey (and oh, so comfortable) living room offers a new 65” smart TV, a big sectional (and an oversized ottoman) to relax on while watching your favorite movies/TV or reading books.

Kitchen
— The updated kitchen has a full-size stainless steel refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. You’ll also find a regular coffee maker, hot pot, Keurig, griddle, pots/pans, Dutch-oven, coffee cups, plates/utensils, wine glasses, and glassware.
— We will also proved some basic spices, etc.

Bathroom
— The bathroom has a beautifully tiled, walk-in shower, which includes a 10 inch rain shower head (with handheld shower combo), luxurious bath towels, and a hair dryer.

Laundry Room
— The laundry room includes a full-size washer and dryer, ironing board, and iron.
— There’s also a game closet with extra blanket storage.

Patio Area/Hot tub
— Enjoy the private hot tub (in a fenced patio area) along with
hot tub towels and robes. Additionally, you’ll have a propane grill with utensils and a small table and chairs/sitting area.

Where You’ll Sleep (Sleeps 6)
— Two bedrooms. Both rooms offer a queen-size bed, while one also has twin bunks. The sectional couch in the Living room is also available w/ extra pillows & blankets.

— For your convenience, in the wall next to each bunk bed, you will find a charging port. Each lamp next to the queen beds also has a charging port inputs and electrical outlet built in.

Guest Access
You’ll enjoy a separate/private access to this basement apartment, along with a secure keyless entry code.
